Solo Stove Bonfire Ultimate Bundle - Unboxing

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

So I got hooked into another late night purchase. I was talking to a buddy about how poorly my fire pit performs and he suggested looking into building a permanent fixture in my yard. I like the idea but I didn’t want to have it fixed to the ground, I wanted the ability to move it to where I wanted in my yard. I came across this in another late night internet search. Well, I bought in, hook, line and sinker. Was it a good purchase? We will have to wait and see. But for now, let’s see what comes in the box.

You are welcome. We like to be thorough on our reviews. Luckily for the rest of you, these have really fallen in price since we bought ours.

Nice review ! Bought the bonfire and it's really cool. I'd love the original Solo Stove ash screen but damn, it's like 200$ CAD at the moment. So, side story..; I bought a Weber Jumbo Joe a while ago and wanted the side-flippable grate so I bought that and ended up with a spare 18$ grate (the original). Turns out it sits perfectly over the bonfire... I just trimmed some ¼" screen (that chicken cage mesh thing) and attached it underneath that stainless grate. Cost me peanuts... 200$ for a screen is outrageous.

Ive had one for years. Leave it out 24/7 no lid and its good to go. Very little smoke…id say solid investment.

I agree, ours is outside 24/7 but I do have a plastic cover over just the opening. Its still looking good, I am pleased with it although the cost has come way down since I bought mine.

Will you show your finished project of using your old fire pit?

Yes, I plan to. Still working some height dimension issues. But for the most part it dropped right in. It still sits an inch or so higher than I wanted it to. Its a matter of building a base for it, or just living with it the way it is. Although, we've been using it almost every weekend.

You bought the item to raise it for airflow but then you places it into an enclosed housing. I was curious how did that workout for you? Did you have any issues, any concerns, and performance degradation? Thank you, sir.

The enclosure is 3 sided, and the stove is elevated 4 inched off the ground. The airflow is actually quite good. It smokes a bit when it first gets going but once the logs are burning, there isn't that much smoke.

Read what each item is officially called then you wouldn’t need to say “I guess this is a ...” That is why each item came with instructions.

I thought so too but the new base is only 3 sided. It works quite well.
