Solo ride and review of the 2021 Harley Pan America

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Good day everyone watching! If you recall the first ride of the Pan America for the Hedgehog here was a bit, um slow, and a bit unexciting due to a group ride. Well I was released into the wild solo this time!

Glad you got unleashed for this demo..last one was so hard to watch you go that slow behind that hall monitor..haha I love the looks and the new configuration of hand controls..just needs a quick shifter/auto blip, some refinement and maybe a more stout windshield and I’ll buy one..nice review 👍🏽

I was happy to be able to run with it as well. I am not 100% sold on the quick shifters yet, yet. I like playing with them when I am on a machine that is so equipped, but for the most part I fell that I can bang through the gears smoother with clutch for some reason. But I foresee an eventual upgrade in the Tech and even HD putting it onboard.

I would agree. I looked at the first video I did this year and this one and it is totally different.

Chain final vs. belt? Btw, I’m ugly, too. But I’m goood!

Chain is much better for off road applications. Belts are kevlar reinforced carbon things now, but that still does not stop a well placed rock in the pulley from being forced through and damaging a belt. Change does not generally suffer from this limitation.

I rode the Pan Am Special at IMS too. The motor was amazing. The windshield was terrible. I felt like the front end was unsettled. I rode the Tiger 900 GT Pro directly after. I know they’re not direct competitors, but I liked everything about the Tiger better - except the motor.

If you had rode the particular one that I had that day if it was Dallas, the tires were very flat spotted front and rear. So that might have been what threw the balanced off for the front. Maybe, I know that I rode the first one that was ever on a truck back in March, then this one and I pointed out the middle of the tires were darn near bald when I dismounted both front and back, and over coming the more aggressive tires from that flat spot might be what you felt.

@@RabidHedgehog I rode the Special, in Dallas, on Saturday. It may very well have been the tires.
