Hey dude, good video. Just thought I’d also let you know, if your ever planning on revisiting this hut, you can also access it from the akatarawa saddle, track is primarily used by 4x4 but the walk is so much nicer then that run down Otaki Gorge track. Not sure of the actual names, but it’s all marked/ mapped out.

Cheers mate, yea the track from otaki is pretty rough aye. I have seen that 4wd track option there, looks like a few ks though, you know how long it would roughly take on foot?

Schusslers tissue salts magphos plus. Magnesium load up a few days prior and during. They also do an under tongue spray that is fast acting when the cramp hits usually gives me relief in minutes. I am a heavy sufferer of cramp.

Thanks for the advice, I actually bought some of the cramp spray a couple of days after this, haven’t tried it yet though.

Swt. Ta. Mind the language but. Vinegar, a shot of, fixes cramps fast.🙃

I hope you do a video on Snowy when the weather fines up. Been awhile since I saw that hut. The corner you asked about what was there. Apparently in the 70's a Cortina with caravan was seen past that corner, when the logging kept the roads in better condition.

I definitely will go there with the longer summer days coming. Interesting about that track, I knew it was a decent 4wd trail before the blockage there now but didn't know it was ever in that flash condition!

Chur ive got photos of my honda xl600 in the old hut that was there in the 90s..i shot lots of deer there..lots of happy times in that place..a few beers at the waikane pub ..fish n chips in the pack..ride straght to the hut..chur otk 364

Its a bloody beautiful spot no doubt, plenty of animal sign still there too. Would be awesome if they got the track back in better condition but still an awesome spot nonetheless.

well that brings back a few memories of my hunting days in there,used to four wheel drive right through from Akatarawa rd
