Tramping in Tararua range
It is a nice summer tramping track for 4 days. Especially one night in Maungahuka Hut is the best. Holdsworth road - Totara Flats Hut - Maungahuka Hut- Mid Waiohine Hut - Holdsworth Road End.

Beautiful under appreciated area. We very much enjoyed the Houldsworth/Jumbo circuit in the same range - and had weather similar to yours 😂 Nice video !!

Thank you for posting! The routes from Cone Ridge to Neil Forks Hit Mangahuka Hut, and from My Holdsworth to Mid Waiohine Hut to the main range, are two routes I hope to complete this summer, so I really appreciated this preview. But I had not considered combining them into a loop; my intention in both cases was to keep heading north along the main range to Anderson Memorial hut and exiting via Waitewaewae Hut and Otaki Forks. But following the route you have followed is definitely another option to consider.
Some good footage and scenes edited well especially the cloud rolling over the tops.
