Solo Overnighter in a Hollow Log - felling a tree for fire wood, spit roast beef
Solo Overnight Camping trip, sleeping in a hollow dead tree log with rain showers, camp fire cooking spit roast beef, felling a dead tree for a fire reflector.
On a trip to this mixed tree forest I stumbled across a hollow dead poplar tree left from forestry work, I return to to spend the night, using the tree as a natural shelter from the rain showers passing over. I fell a dead pine tree for fire wood and build a fire reflector.
Dinner is Roast beef, spit roasted by the camp fire and breakfast is wild boar & apple sausages.

I don’t know how this popped up on my feed, and I don’t know why I watched it- but I am glad that I did. No chatter, no nerve wracking background music, no obnoxious flashing lights or jump-cuts…just simply a man in his element, doing his thing in nature. I dig this. It’s cool to see and hear the experience of the English woods, even though I’ll never be able to visit them.
