Outstanding video. An excellent shelter, especially when the ground is constantly damp. I have built these out of Bamboo and used Banana leaves or a poncho for rain protection, never thought about using this design state side, but will now consider it. Ash on the ground around the uprights will help keep crawling insects out of your bed for a good nights sleep. A double bunk would give room for medium size dude to join you, and adding a rock and clay fire pit would give you heat for a cold weather camp.

Great video! Food hack to try out: Buy a tuna can (tuna with oil), open the can and put a napkin on top of it. Let the middle of the napkin get wet from the oil and then ignite the napkin from its four corners with a lighter. Let the napkin burn and when it has burnt out remove the burnt napkin. We used this trick in the Finnish army and its 10 times better than just eating the tuna and it doesn't take long to make.

How I make cowboy coffee varies a bit but the best way I've found is to boil the regular amount of coffee grounds in less water. Once it's been at a rolling boil for at least a minute, take it off and then pour the remainder of the water (cold) over top. The cold water will shock the grounds to the bottom. Then it's at a perfect drinking temperature. It's quick and no need for any other apparatus. Love the vid brother! I used to be homeless way back in the day and for a time I lived in the woods. I knew nothing about survival back then. The shelter you built here would've made my life so much better!!! Thanks for doing what you do! Rocknroll!!!

@@recall5811 Oh no I watch the whole video right through to the end as you asked for. It is just the camp cooking I am more likely to do than any bushcraft. And you are right it does get you up there on my recommended videos so I get your new content straight away. Yours is one of a few channels I watch of guys enjoying the woods. Here in the UK it isn’t as easy as the US as our national parks are smaller and we aren’t exactly totally free to camp in them either. I’m tempted to buy my own little piece of woodland so I can do a little of what you and the other guys do but there always other priorities and even then, there are usually local planning rules limiting use of the land that may not even allow camping. So keep the content coming and I’ll keep watching. If you haven’t done so already give Kenco Millicano instant coffee a try. I think it is a good half way house between typical instant coffee and filter. Manui dat cognitio vires.

Here's one I thought you'd enjoy, sir - this evening my wife made a bacon wrapped pork loin for dinner. When she called my sons and myself to dinner, she said with a grin, "We're having a Corporal dinner tonight - it's got bacon!" :) Keep up the great work!

So nice to see a bushcrafter producing steady videos with actual “skills to pay the bills”. You don’t see that on most youtubers.

I would love to see the build. This is the reason I watch. You and Survival Lilly are my favorite channels, just for the reason you guys build stuff...👍👍2 thumbs up fella.
