no point using a new knot every time just for the sake of it, id never learn them all anyway i like your channel for the reason you keep things simple and dont let ego creep in trying all this crazy shit, when there is something simple that does the same thing

The two man shack sounds outstanding. Maybe a great project for you an medium-sized dude? Would be a good long term shelter, maybe leading up to removing the tarp and building a roof from natural materials to simulate a destroyed tarp in a shtf situation. Can't wait mate
Build the shack!!!! 😉👍🔥🔥🔥
I agree with many of the comments, make your shelter here, do the dual bunks so your son can be with you at this primo location. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Watching your videos has reignited my love for camping and the outdoors. Brings up a lot of memories I had with my old man. Thank you for all that you do!!
The glimpse of the food gets me everytime. Salute Corporal 🤙

@@sethhall8549 Seriously! I can't wait until I get a chance to take my 11 year old son out and practice knots & stuff like this! He's just started camping with his troop, but it will be fun to improvise a little backyard fort or something at his Dad's. (He has the woods, I'm in the City). Corporal is the best! ❤️👍
My heart took one look at that sandwich and said " What a wonderful way to die. I'll take two". lol
Youve done such an incredible job with your content, production value, snacks and demonstration of gear. Top notch man!
Shack in the woods idea is Good To Go!! Love it. I am very interested in your Rocket Stove designs!
Great Raised Jungle Shelter Sir! Now that's a grilled cheese sandwich! I would like to see the 1 or 2 man shack, sounds like a great idea. 👍🥓
Quickly becoming my favorite channel! Thanks for sharing Sir!
Content suggestion: How about tips on sharpening tools, knives, saws, ax, hatchet? How often do you do it? Best techniques? What about for us lazy a$$es? You cut through everything with ease. Probably due to my cheap knives, I don’t seem to make my knives noticeably sharper using several types of sharpeners and whetstones.
This channel inspired me to buy some gear and head outdoors every Saturday. I spend hours practicing skills and enjoy the great outdoors. Thank you!
OMG, look at that bacon burger..... Yummy.
Would love to see that “one man shack”!
Anyone else notice how he checked the inside of his boots before he put them on? Looks like excellent habbit to obtain for camping, ive never thought about it before. Never know what critters could have crawled inside through the night.

Out here in the SW scorpions like to crawl in shoes, in your house, on your kitchen floor when your barefoot and especially in your garage. Always gotta be checking shoes, floors and where you step.
Really like this shelter, simple to do, just work. Keep up the great work. Dig your sense of humor man, just need to get rid of that Tabasco and go strait cholula lol.
Shack in the woods! Sounds like a great project!
I hit like right after I saw the sandwich. Now, for the rest of the video. 😁
I just want to say a big sincere thank you you and Mr. Canterbury have inspired me to get out in the woods. Not gonna lie I’m a hypochondriac and scared of every disease known to man including Lyme disease but I know I can’t live my life in fear of every scary what if. I just feel the woods and a simpler way of doing things patiently but strongly calling me. Thanks again for all the awesome content!

Dont know why someone would complain about the knots you use, even if it's the same one applied many times, it's what works for you. Great video though I always learn so much here.
I think the 5 part series about a 2 bed cabin in the woods would be perfect AF!!!!!!
That sandwich looks like an artery-clogging good time. Fuel for hard work!
Do the one man shack. Sounds like a great 5 part series highlighting how a bugout turns into a more permanent camp/shack.
Really enjoyed this vid!!!! Great design on the shelter!!! This is very educational and fun!!! Thanks as always!!!!!
2 seconds in and this is an outstanding video.
I love your videos i look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Thank you for sharing another outstanding video looking forward to seeing your next video stay safe
Another Outstanding AF video cant wait to see the next part in the series FOOTBALL takes a poor 2nd place to Corprols Corner
Nice camp set up, like the raised bed, lots of possibilities there are for this .
Woot woot! I'm in. Let's make it a series
I would love to see that series. Keep up the great content.
Another awesome video! I'm curious as to how you store your food.
Outstanding video. An excellent shelter, especially when the ground is constantly damp. I have built these out of Bamboo and used Banana leaves or a poncho for rain protection, never thought about using this design state side, but will now consider it. Ash on the ground around the uprights will help keep crawling insects out of your bed for a good nights sleep. A double bunk would give room for medium size dude to join you, and adding a rock and clay fire pit would give you heat for a cold weather camp.
Yes, this was a time consuming setup, BUT, in my opinion, in an extended survival situation, definitely one of the best setups, one could have 💯.I , can't say enough about the value in a raised platform and being off of the ground. Semper Fi
Hell yeah two man shelter would be a great build 😜 can't wait to see it
Building a shack in the woods sounds awesome. 👍
I really like that idea of mirroring the raised bed shelter that you built today! I think it’d make a nice father son shack!! Great great idea!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
please build the shack in the woods
Mmm! that sandwich 🥪
You're old enough to know that everything the basement dwellers think is perfection! Keep doing exactly what you are doing. I like the idea of the future build on this raised bed setup.
That is a exelente idea, and also close the two ends so you can be more protected from the elements like you said.. 👍👌
Do it I'm already waiting for the next video awesome
For the love of god please build the shelter with 2 beds a door and stove. That would be cool A.F ...
Im sold, looking forward to seeing this build. always great content, thank you very much.
Great video! Food hack to try out: Buy a tuna can (tuna with oil), open the can and put a napkin on top of it. Let the middle of the napkin get wet from the oil and then ignite the napkin from its four corners with a lighter. Let the napkin burn and when it has burnt out remove the burnt napkin. We used this trick in the Finnish army and its 10 times better than just eating the tuna and it doesn't take long to make.
I'm always up for a good series 😎 especially if the corporal is involved.
Waching from Ohio i like video congratulations
What impresses me about these videos isn't just the bushcraft, impressive as that is, it is the creativity in being able to look around a campsite, visualize what needs to be built, and then using the materials around the campsite to create those things. Always enjoyable and always impressive.
One of my favorites so far! Love these raised designs, and would love to see you take it further!
Build it, and we will watch
I'm loving these "build a shelter in the woods" series. Keep them coming.

We love your work! Please don't stop!
Multi-part “Shack in the Woods” series? OH YEAH AF!!!!!!!
“That’s a lot of work for an overnighter” Needs to be on a tshirt haha
"He's using the same knot again! I'm out of here!" said the keyboard survivalist.
Absolutely, a 2 man shack would be cool af
How I make cowboy coffee varies a bit but the best way I've found is to boil the regular amount of coffee grounds in less water. Once it's been at a rolling boil for at least a minute, take it off and then pour the remainder of the water (cold) over top. The cold water will shock the grounds to the bottom. Then it's at a perfect drinking temperature. It's quick and no need for any other apparatus. Love the vid brother! I used to be homeless way back in the day and for a time I lived in the woods. I knew nothing about survival back then. The shelter you built here would've made my life so much better!!! Thanks for doing what you do! Rocknroll!!!
Does the Corporal have something against dessert? Maybe some Bacon S’mores? 😉

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 knots once, but I fear the man who has practiced one knot 10,000 times.
Loving that shanty idea! Anything that keeps the outdoors videos coming! IDGAF too much about who thinks the knots are the same, if you can do them blindfolded, thats pretty important if you have to do it at night! Not to mention people who are all thumbs can probably still learn it!
I love the idea for a multiple part series build to expand your shelter. I am really enjoying your Bushcraft building, it looks like you are enjoying it too. Nice that you had time for breakfast. Man I love where your going with the idea!!! Shack in the woods AF!!! Another great video!
All this bacon would make a muslim rethink their dietary restrictions. The sandwich looked good AF.

I think you're onto something with the multipart series with add-on shelter. That truely is more base-camp and the tarp shelter more single night. I'm not sure about the music. First, I thought cool drama and theatrics. Second time, not sure if I like that or prefer more teaching. Might be because I need more learning. Just me, you do you. I also like the email notifications, keeps me up on viewing them.
I let my grand kids watch your teaching...they love them, easy for them to understand and do/ try out. Thank you!
Build the damn shack!!!

@@recall5811 Oh no I watch the whole video right through to the end as you asked for. It is just the camp cooking I am more likely to do than any bushcraft. And you are right it does get you up there on my recommended videos so I get your new content straight away. Yours is one of a few channels I watch of guys enjoying the woods. Here in the UK it isn’t as easy as the US as our national parks are smaller and we aren’t exactly totally free to camp in them either. I’m tempted to buy my own little piece of woodland so I can do a little of what you and the other guys do but there always other priorities and even then, there are usually local planning rules limiting use of the land that may not even allow camping. So keep the content coming and I’ll keep watching. If you haven’t done so already give Kenco Millicano instant coffee a try. I think it is a good half way house between typical instant coffee and filter. Manui dat cognitio vires.

Here's one I thought you'd enjoy, sir - this evening my wife made a bacon wrapped pork loin for dinner. When she called my sons and myself to dinner, she said with a grin, "We're having a Corporal dinner tonight - it's got bacon!" :) Keep up the great work!
Sir.. i do hope you do build a shed in the woods

So nice to see a bushcrafter producing steady videos with actual “skills to pay the bills”. You don’t see that on most youtubers.
