I get the feeling you grew up in the woods. As did I, we lived 4 blocks away from the Arkansas river in a small town, so I spent a lot of time hunting fishing and trapping up and down the Arkansas river. From the age of 10 till this very day.(53 years old) I can't count how many times that river tried to drown me or the winters tried to freeze me out baked in the summer sun. Good video great channel. Thanks for everything.

@@peterbogart4531 I am sorry to hear that. My condolences. That river tried with me and my friends we would canoe it in the summer and hunt off it in the winter. There wasn't much of that river we didn't know of from Great Bend ks all the way down to Keystone lake in Oklahoma out by Tulsa. One summer when we were 15 we made burn out canoes and floated down to Keystone lake than hiked back to our small home town just Inside Kansas. (1984)

Dear Michelle, salutes to you! The drive through the Rockies in snowy winter to Edmonton is totally spectacular. Also definitely a road to be prepared to stay along and survive for a while. No whiteout like a whiteout there in a blowing snow blizzard in B.C. or Alberta, especially when meeting oncoming semis. You are going to be prepared to drive somewhat off the main roadway when indicated, and possibly will not drive out of the drifts without a tow. At -40 or below you may want to protect the radiator from the cold, eh?

Really enjoyed this one. As always thank you for the time and effort you put into making these videos. One of the biggest complaints I have with wilderness bushcraft/survival videos is that oftentimes the creator talks too much. You do a good job with getting to the point and explaining the pertinent information without rambling and telling your life story. I also like that you demonstrate everything and produce effective results. There are a ton of survival trapping videos where you're taught how to make snares/traps but the content creator never catches anything. One can't help but to question their methods. Looking forward to the next video.

Love the prairie survival information. The U.S. and other countries have huge areas of prairie lands yet most survival info is dedicated to woodland situations.

There's no bigger advantage in survival then having you Andrew by the side. All the best Ranger!

Thank you sir. Every river crossing was done multiple times to get the 1 crossing we see. Multiple angles of arrival and departure require setting the camera up, then going back for it to move it for the next shot. Editing and narration take up time, even when you are experienced. this is more back yard camping then survival.....whos going to bring 40+ pounds of gear on them every time they go somewhere...maybe stored in the vehicle but thats about it.

The Henry AR-7 is a very accurate little rifle. My son bought one a few months ago. Liked it some much he bought a second. Good little rifles. Soon I am going to have to get my family out in the woods for some outdoor instruction.

This channel has its own particular flavour and it makes it a winner!

In true survival situations, consider the following: While 'normally', one should keep their food supply and waste far away from camp, make a more secure food storage area and a waste pit, to ATTRACT critters to a certain location. They want your food, let them come and get it, and get it good. Of which, then they can also be utilized to attract more critters. Working smarter, not harder, but smarter and harder might take one farther.

@Christopher Lee Cook That is the way I see it. I have seen too many situations whereby 'trappers' spend way more calories than they take in, plus if other critters find those trapped critters before the trapper does in far away from camp traps, a wasted catch for the trapper. One could even start out small with items like mice caught at night, then keep building up with bigger critters as they come to the waste pit. Have barriers to direct the critters coming to those areas and various hunting blinds around those areas (food storage area, kitchen, waste pit). Home delivery of food, what a concept.

Can attest to this method. I can attract coyotes at will. First I just get a rabbit! And leave it out. Same night coyotes will come by. Same with possums and racoons. Just throw all the old leftovers in a pile.

@@dommyboysmith Home delivery of food, what a concept. There is a reason why people are told to not put meat scraps in a compost pile, "because it might attract critters". Also, there is a reason for people to keep their food store and kitchen area away from their sleeping area, "because it might attract critters". Traps, snares, hunting blinds put around critical areas that might attract critters.
