Only guy that gets up in the morning like an actual human. All off the other dudes are all fresh and cheerful and slept like a baby. Sleeping on a iso-mat with a rock stuck in your back all night and then getting up covered in frost...yeah, I'm gonna cough and grunt when I finally move too hahaha. Thanks for keeping it real.

Many nights sleeping in a hole freezing my butt off. To say that I jumped up every morning like I had slept on a cloud would be a lie. Once the popping and cracking stopped, I had to get the muscles warmed up. Then, maybe I would get up and find some coffee and chow.

You don’t need to apologize for anything. We love your videos & appreciate all your hard work to do these videos. Coming up with what to talk on my channel about isn’t always easy. My recent fall screwed up both knees & both shoulders, possibly for good. I vicariously watch you do stuff I cannot now. But you actually do hard physical labor to create these videos. And I commend you for it. Screw the haters & trolls. They are jealous.

For your following vid, you said YT apparently had issue with the cap-and-ball LeMat? 🤨. Last time I bothered to check, and granted it’s been a while, pre-1898, non metallic cartridge arms weren’t classed by ATF as firearms. Good vid, BTW.

Really enjoyed this video. Reminded me of trips I took with my son and/or with friends in years past. You don’t need to build a Taj Mahal to have fun camping. Getting out into the solitude of the woods, do some fishing, cook up a simple meal over a open fire and that’s living. Forget all the BS going on in the rest of the world. Thanks for this episode!

I'm quite a bit older then you. Joined Army in 79 and flew Hueys. All of my instructors and the older pilots in my unit flew in Vietnam. Their stories were so awesome, I will never forget them. Every single one of them had scars from rounds through their legs and they all loved their time in combat.

Corporal, sorry I am a week late watching this, but Memorial Day is an important holiday to me. Of my 6 uncle's (3 Veterans of Foreign Wars), cousin (also a Veteran), an numerous friends (several Veterans), who have served in the military, I am very fortunate, and eternally grateful that all of them came back home. So, I was a bit busy last weekend. But on this episode, I loved it. It was fun watching you have fun on this episode. And as a good Southern guy, I can see you know your fish since you decided to keep the Crappy. And you pronounced it correctly. Looking forward to the tower, and hope you sneak in a few more episodes like this one from time to time. Til then, watch your 6 and have fun.

I live in Colorado and just a couple days ago I had to draw my firearm on somebody when I was trying to complete a doordash delivery, the guy was tweaked out and trying to kill me, the police were involved, yada yada yada... I posted about it on Facebook and for the first time ever since I have been on Facebook which was 2008, I got put in Facebook jail simply for describing how I had to defend myself... They said it went against their Community guidelines not sure what to make of that but keep on doing what you're doing Corporal, we love it

I'm still getting email notifications from your website, as well as in KZread. Nice laid back adventure this week. Probably feels good to get back to basics for a change 👍

Great way to relax out in the woods Shawn! 70 acres of woodland plus a stream with fish is my kind of heaven man!! In the 1970s, my squad/platoon leaders were all RVN LRRPs and Rangers. And on this Memorial Day weekend, I wish to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of our men and women of our armed forces who have sacrificed themselves for their fellow soldiers, airmen, marines and coast guardsmen, as well as their families!! EVERYDAY should be a day in remembrance of those who fought and died! RIP brothers and sisters, for you are not forgotten... Personally, I remember my 2/75 Ranger buddy and friend Randy Shughart!!
