No need to critique this man’s work online so you feel “important” - your opinion only matters to you. Outstanding video as always.

No kidding! If they were trying to be helpful that is one thing but somebody wants to hear someone complain all the time. That being said I have seen some youtubers do this so maybe it will help? I know most people on television often clip them to their shirt, Naked and afraid have microphone necklaces, it's also good to keep it away from any place you might accidentally touch... Corporal moves around so much that might be an issue for him, lays down, rolls, shovels, saws etc. I'm not sure if the shirt would work for him. I hope this works out and people stop complaining so he can concentrate on what he does best, completely crush really clean looking and effective shelters.

@@timothyhines7845 no so much anymore. I’d agree that a tent might weigh 2x more than a tarp, but an extra pound or 1.5 is nothing to cry about. The key to tarps is to practice the pitch until you have muscle memory around it. A tent, particularly freestanding, is more idiot-proof, assuming it’s been pitched once or twice before. Most people caught in the field with high winds and heavy rains would be better suited with a tent, simply because they haven’t developed the skill around pitching their tarp correctly. This is similar to most people with a ferro rod versus a Bic lighter. Of course, pitch site also makes a difference. You can flood anything out.

'Tricks with Tarps' - seems to be trending on the YT bushcraft channels but the Corporal brings it all together! I really like the expediency and simplicity of just using a tarp/poncho for cover - as long as you keep a flood from rolling under you! Starting to put together a collection of SPAM for the coming 'hard times' - comes in a variety of colors these days. My Mother remembers eating SPAM regularly as she grew up at the end of the Great Depression - something we haven't seen - yet. I hike and hunt but not really a 'bushman'. I pick up tips and skills if they seem practical to me. Tarps/ponchos are practical.

Age 10 was 60 years ago and I retired at 65 and got a German Sheppard, he's a great dog. I have little idea how to camp with him. Maybe you could touch base with the fact that many take thier frontline defense with them. Just a twist for you to consider. Yeah I'm nuts ... even my dog has full body armor since he's the first line of defense. Great video. Train hard and if you must, fight smart.

Simplicity at its best . Having a family of four , I am trying to come up with a simple shelter configuration that will cover all of us . I have taught the kids tent camping , rough camping and a few tarp set ups . But without building a elaborate shelter , I am having a difficult time coming up with a large emergency enough shelter for all of us. I know that I can do individual set ups ( and probably would do a couple of two person shelters in actuality ) , but I am trying to come up with a large one as a experiment . Great video as usual. Looking forward to the next one .

Another great vid Shawn! Ive used that configuration a few times and it works well for the conditions. It also works well when paired with a friends tarp! Stake the back corners together and the other (door) end about 2 ft apart (more if you need more room or less if you need to close the door in winter). Fold the long wall of one back over itself, then run the other long wall over it with a single line staked out. Have slept 4 folks under. It was tight though. Thanks for all you do! Keep makin em n we'll keep watchin!

The jet stream is making a sharper turn than normal. This has happened before and will again in the future. So not global warming, just normal pattern that has happened before.
