Well you need a license, from what I hear. It's to make sure that people don't use the powers of shred for evil (like blowing unsuspecting minds).

Amazing solo again David! I was wondering, at 0:18 what is that switch you turn on and off to kill the sound? I thought it was the pickup switch, but then realized there already was one xD

Thanks, as adrielchng said, it's a called a killswitch and it mutes the guitar, I installed this switch to be able to do these kind of tricks

It's called kill-switch, basically when you have two pickups on your guitar and you have a volume knob for each of them, you turn one off and you keep moving up and down the pickup selector

Hi Luciano, the pickups are Dimarzio Breed Bridge and a PAF Joe in the neck. (The middle one is a Fender Vintage Noiseless).

Also, if you own an epiphone, turn down the volume all the way on the neck pickup, and switch between pickups. You will get kind of the same effect, but installing your own killswitch usually sounds better

Hubert Cumberdale I saw a video for that, too some days ago, but thanks. :) I´ve already tried it with my Gibson SG, the result was quite cool, but not perfect :P
