Solo Female Student Embraces Van Life for Affordable Living: Van Tour
Alina resides year-round in her Dodge camper van, strategically parking around the city during summer and seeking shelter in a friend's driveway during harsh Canadian winters. She contributes to utilities to keep her van heated and to support her friends living in the house. Alina views van life as part of a broader movement embracing communal living. As a full-time student, she intends to continue living in her van for the next two years while completing her studies.

Her van looks very homey and all hers! I'm always curious why some try to glorify van life, and some rather just tell it like it is. I much prefer the way this young lady explains and defines her challenges living this lifestyle of her choice. Honestly, I'm so over the music videos, $10,000 cost just to build out, cutesy antics, kind of van tours. It's like they think viewers have to be entertained instead of just genuinely interested in the time it takes to watch the whole video. Reminds me of what every store does to keep buyers shopping, a lot of music and shiny objects.
I love what she said at the end.
I lived in my van for a while. My parking was any backroad out of sight, and my toilet consisted of a shovel. hahaha !! I had a solar bag shower that heated up by the time I finished my morning coffee. It was pretty fun.
Cold clothes tip, put your clothes under the blankets in the bed you’re sleeping in with you either right up against you or between you and the bottom blanket or sheet but under the top blanket your body will warm them up
Choose your clothes for tomorrow before you go to sleep and put them in your bed with you - tuck them into the bottom - and they won't be so cold to put on in the morning.
I've seen this van in Banff lol
