Might want to get a thermal curtain or just a fleece blanket to hang on a tension rod behind the two front seats. It will keep your heat in a smaller area so you'll stay warmer and use less fuel.

yeah the buddy heaters created a ton of moisture and can actually give you pnemonia like symptoms. dont use propane heat.

I am from India and believe me your video inspired me a lot. I mean i always thought that we need lot of equipment for winter camping in a car but you showed up how simple things can make you comfortable and close to nature without getting cold. Thank you.

India has wonderful nature to spend in with everything you can sleep in. I personally love the survival videos of Bear Grylls in snow, but that's another level.

Hay Matt, thanks for mentioning the channel! I feel lucky to live in a state with over 12 million acres available to the people. It's nice going out every weekend (for a year and a half) and not visiting the same campground twice. I really liked the fire pit and would consider buying one. You'll have to keep us informed on how it holds up. I'd be curious to know if your van smells like a campfire carrying it around.

@@TolbersCamping You shouldve caught the morning sun after it snowed it's way prettier than at dusk.

TIP: use a hot water bottle to stay warm as you sleep, that way you save power for the heater. The water can be reheated for the next night or simply used to fill the toilet flush!

when making scamble egg for toast try this recipe Meat masala(indian) red chilli powder dice onion sprinkle some salt it is just some normal recipe so try it next time it taste good with toast

I think accidently backing into a tree while you are in the hills camping is a right of passage of sorts..... I remember my grandfather doing it when I was super young and thought I"ll never do that. Literally the first time I took my son hunting (I'd been hundreds of times since) I backed into a stump and dented my bumper.

I had all seasons which are meant for snow I just like having dedicated snow tires which I now have 😁 Didn’t really need a shovel for that level of snow as I could just move it out of the way with my foot if I needed to. Just one layer of the windshield has a crack, not really worth fixing it as I don’t plan to keep this van much past winter. Thanks for watching bro!

I converted My Big Buddy to run on a large propane tank with a 12-ft hose which can save you a lot of money. You can get adapters that allow you to fill the small tanks with a large tank as well.

Suggestion: since it's very cold outside, while you are stopped, freeze some water bottles to keep your fridge cold when it's warm inside the van ...saves electricity.

You should look into trucking. I have all that stuff inside my semi truck. It’s literally just like your setup but also TV and it pays great money. All I do now is camp and drive and camp and drive.

I’ve actually been seeing a lot of those videos on KZread lately and look very cozy. I actually worked at UPS for 15 years driving the packages cars and really liked it, but was able to quit over a year and half ago and just work online now. I actually had a lot of family that have done trucking also and seemed to like it. Thanks for watching bro

Awesome new setup. You’re really doing great. I don’t have a heater but I think I would just turn on the car and heat it up real good before going to sleep. I’m still wrestling with the car alarm going off when I use the key fob to look it from inside. I have come to the conclusion that I will need to start the car to avoid it going off. Great work with your camping setup.

Thanks and the heaters are pretty cheap if you decide to get one, it defiantly makes sitting inside the van more enjoyable. As far as car alarm going off, are you locking it from the key fob and then trying to open the door from the inside without unlocking if from the key fob first? Because once you lock it from key fob it activates the alarm so if you were to unlock the door manually without de activating the alarm from the key fob first it would go off.
