SOLID STATE || SESSION - 17 : Gouy's Method

Hello students,
Welcome back to NUCLEOCHEM FORUM, A wizard of Chemistry.
Here in this video, we learn about how to detect magnetic properties in particular substances.
After watching this video you will get clear idea about how to identify magnetic properties in a particular substance or in unknown substance/s by using simple technique.
You will get clear idea about the Magnet, Magnetic substances, types of magnet, diamagnetic substances, paramagnetic substances and ferromagnetic substances. Watch till end.
I feel proud to share my knowledge of chemistry with you. Spread miles of smile by sharing it with your friends also. Stay tuned!

  • @NUCLEOCHEMFORUM

    Tinish Uge Magnetic susceptibility is only used to calculate the degree of magnetisation. You need to apply or attach digital Gauss meter to calculate magnetic field or susceptibility.

    What is the reason for placing the studied sample between the two magnetic poles in this way? Why don't we just put it down? Please explain with the equations.

  • @NUCLEOCHEMFORUM

    @NUCLEOCHEMFORUM

    4 жыл бұрын

    Montsr Sawwan 1) Dear, Gouys method is use to determine magnetic properties in unknown substances not for known or studied sample. 2) If you put the unknown sample then how it is possible to determine magnetic properties in them as the sample will not get pull towards the magnet. Magnet will pull those sample which are above them. Then you can only decide which is magnetic or not. 3) There is no such equation for Gouy’s method in which sample is placed down. Thanks for writting. Good luck
