Awesome, I am glad that everything worked out for you. Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting.
Any solder info is a big help. Thanks. The bigger gauge wires are what kill me.

Yea bud if your having problems you need to get a higher wattage Hotter solder gun for the larger wires it will make your soldering so much more easy.

@@ShenRC I did get a Weller 750 degree set. So, it's down to pilot error.

Just like Shen RC said A hot soldering iron will help a lot, I do have some tips and tricks then I'll be doing in the next video.
Odd to see a pure solder joint with no crimping. These joints ever heat up and melt out the solder?

Thanks for the comment, it should not melt on the 80 amp ESC and running on 2S or 3S. When you’re running a 120 amp ESC and above, you do have to use a different souder, that has a higher melting point.
Why do I have to tin my wires? Do I have to fill up the cup when a connector is only half a circle where you solder the wire to the connector? I’m new to soldering.
@TheTankRC

You have to pre tin your connector to have a better connection, if you try to solder a bare wire to a connector you might overheat the connector in it might melt by the time you get enough solder on your water, you don't have to fill the cup all the way up but it does help
Hi, anyone know what gauge of wire is best to power a F405 WING FC? The leads from my ESC are maybe 18GA, while the Lipo is like 10GA so I bought some 12GA pigtails that are really beefy... prob. better than only 18 or 24GA, yes?
@TheTankRC

In your manual of the ESC it should tell you what gauge to use, if it has 18 gauge it should be good 18ga, using a 12 gauge you cannot go wrong that’s what I would’ve done
Looks like hobbywing 1080
Do they make clear shrink wrap tubing?

@@TheTankRC great thank you. Great video, I need a higher power gun to succeed better.
What wattage is that gun?
