This solid sedan, looks, runs, and drives extremely well, and has what can very much be considered a low 105K miles. These diesel W123s are among the most durable cars ever built, widely known to have the ability to rack up hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles with only minimal maintenance. The build quality is incredible, and it's no coincidence that many of these cars are still on the road today, in use all over the world. Parts are readily available from Mercedes-Benz or 100s of 3rd party seller. All in all, this is a particularly nice example of one of the greatest Mercedes-Benz products ever built.

My father had a W123 - a stunning car inside and out and it wasn't even one of the more luxurious ones.

Longtime no see! anywho I fell in love with my first Mercedes when I was 6 it was a 560 SL and then when I was 13 It was a 560 Sel and then a 600 sel which was my prom car. So as you can see I grew up with these cars and will love them forever I guess its the Nostalgia of it all .Anyway glad to see you are back Take care

There were many of these in Norway that was used as taxi for a very long time, they could go about 1 million to 1.5 million kilometer easy. The only weakness people remember was rust. (Salty winter)
I had a W123 230E 1983-model and a 200 1981-model. 230E was the best motor, because of the Bosch K-jetronic injection and solid torque.

My 1983 300D Turbo has 444,000+ miles and is still going. I wish it was in this pristine condition. My cruise control doesn't work, my antenna is broken but the interior is great, only one tear on the driver seat and my first aid kit is still there and unopened. LOL
