The Solaris mission has established a base on a planet that appears to host some kind of intelligence, but the details are hazy and very secret. After the mysterious demise of one of the three scientists on the base, the main character is sent out to replace him. He finds the station run-down and the two remaining scientists cold and secretive. When he also encounters his wife who has been dead for ten years, he begins to appreciate the baffling nature of the alien intelligence...

Para aquellos que se interesen, también está en KZread la versión que la televisión de la entonces URSS hizo para la televisión. Está dirigida por Boris Niremberg con guion de Nikolai Kemarsky. Dura aproximadamente 2.22:28 y, sin alcanzar las alturas incomparables de Tarkovsky, puede ser interesante. Está en KZread como "Solaris 1968 sub esp". y. si, está con subtítulos en español Pueden encontrarla con resolución 360 y 480.

Leí Solaris hace eternidades, aún lo tengo. Ví la película Solaris, rusa? en esos tiempos, no sé si es esta. Ví también la Solaris con George Clooney, Natasha McElhone y Viola Davis, también muy buena, con un giro inesperado. Siempre sorprendente. Por momentos agobiante. Para mí habla de la apariencia y atemporalidad de las cosas, y sobre todo de la inabordable soledad de las almas.

Una gran película soviética que le ha servido de "inspiración" a varios directores de Hollywood para volverse ricos y famosos con las ideas de otro. Hay muchas cosas en esta película como su filosofía,el montaje,la decoración,etc,que ha sido homenajeada/ copiada en muchas películas posteriores. Aunque muchos digan que Stalker es la mejor obra de Tarkosky yo me quedo con Solaris,una obra maestra de principio a fin👍

Es interesante que Tarkovski no estima obras de Kubrick, diciendo que están vacías. De hecho el documental lunar de Kubrick es todavía bien recibido aunque Hollywood este más avanzado en tiempo contemporánea

Convendría añadir "Solyaris" a la descripción para que sea más fácil de encontrar.
Creo que es una contestación a 2001 de Kubrick, la que plantea la evolución del hombre hacia el super-hombre. Tarkovski parece darle un bofetada y decirle: el hombre solo necesita ser cada vez mas humano.

Escenas muy lentas; ritmo inusual para los no acostumbrados. Dialogos filosoficos. El científico sucumbe ante lo inexplicable pero real. En el país que habia erradicado la religión y la superstición.
Very weak film. It ends with nice music but the rest of the movie doesn't say anything and there's nothing sci-fi about it

Станиславу Лему тоже не понравился этот фильм. Проблема в том что Андрей Тарковский в своём творчестве хотел обратиться к богу. Андрей Тарковский к тому времени уже снял фильм про веру, это фильм Андрей Рублёв. После этого фильма Андрей Рублёв советская цензура не одобрила продолжение таких творческих экспериментов. В результате Тарковский был вынужден снимать фильм Солярис, но Андрей Арсеньевич снимал фильм не про планету Солярис, Тарковский снимал фильм про людей, про чувства, про любовь и долг. А планета Солярис была лишь фоном.
