I remember seeing this at the theater as a kid then going out and trading in my roller skates for roller blades.

Bodai means awakening. I guess if you ever see this movie, you can attribute a lot of symbolism to it. Such as, the world is in a declining system, and the children are the future hope, and Bodai is the spirit of that hope, and the people who want to control the future try to destroy that hope and capture the children to be indoctrinated. Cool 80s flick.
