It doesn't leak like that if you have that steam vent pointing up, it doesn't matter how your solar oven is placed, the steam vent should be vertical, not facing outward, that helps keep the liquid inside of the solar oven.

Instead of buying their parchment paper, you could get a roll of it for far less & cut it to fit yourself.

I mostly use it for camping so it only gets used about once or twice a year.

i got a knockoff myself and i was barely able to achieve a cooked egg after an hour of preheating. egg cooked at 165 for 30 minutes, was still a bit undone, but it was edible winter sun was not very powerful but if i can get up early one morning, i might be able to bake some salmon the way i figure i need to get to a higher elevation and lower humidity so basically high desert is where i plan to use my oven, midwest is kinda ehh.. and i'm still relying on butane canisters

Yeah, I've heard the knockoff models aren't very good. GoSun is the best in my opinion.

Really? So it has to be go sun brand to work? Bcus I don’t want to starve.. and this thing is what I’ll be relying upon. (Was it at the correct angle maybe? Like towards the sun & the shadow of the dot was centered? On the measuring device?) an egg should be cooked quickly.. 🤔 I don’t like waiting for my food, I’ll forget it’s in there!
