Great video! One more thing regarding Solar being unprepared for being leader initially. As we know there were supposed to be a fifth member and that member was the oldest and supposed to be the leader which I think made it even more of a surprise, for Solar, when the leader role then fell to her.

I think that was early on their debut time, the time she explained she didn't know what to do bc she's always the younger in their family but suddenly become a leader, she said she was so strick at that time, she didn't want any mistakes on stages. But as we can see now, she's more relaxed and more patient and more understanding and just go along with the members while doing her job as a leader too. They're family now

You can tell she’s a good leader by looking at how the others react to her. I mean Moonbyul never leaves her side. Wheein always follows her nonverbal cues. And hwasa literally jus my becomes the biggest baby in front of her. They all love her a lot and it’s kind of funny to see how they’re talking about their struggles in the past. Whenever she cries they feel bad and want to make her laugh again. They don’t have any hard feelings towards each other. Just love and trust.

It's easy to see now how Solar and Hwasa clashed in the early days. As Hwasa explained she was stubborn and didn't listen well, which made the ceo angry. It probably contributed to solar also being scolded, as the leader, or if not she took part of the blame anyway, and then scolded Hwasa. In turn Hwasa was probably like, why is everyone picking on me. And becoming even more stubborn.

a group like no other deserves a leader like no other yongsun's ability to play with the others, let herself be teased by them has helped strengthen the bonds between all four. and despite all the teasing and joking, they obviously fully respect and look up to her and (mostly) listen when it's required. her professionalism and perfectionism when she goes into work mode are unmatched, even if it sometimes takes byul to rein her in when she goes overboard with the play i'm glad she's had byul to lean on, esp early on, using her expertise as an older sibling to help learn how to be a leader, even as byul relied on her to be one

Also it's true that Yongsun relies on Byul, but Byul relies on her too, it's rather a friendship but in the beginning they actually fought a lot and at talk on 11:37 you can see the leader side well

I think today that’s mostly Hwasa and Solar now. Unlike before, Hwasa and Solar is more calm now and knows when to get serious and when to play. Before they were purely chaotic and Moonbyul was the one who limit their hyperness. Now, Moonbyul’s one of the causes why Mamamoo is sometimes a mess in practices lmao HAHAHHAHA

I think out of all members, moos tend to forget that each has their own struggles especially in Solar's case, we don't pay attention to what's her struggle or worries as much cus its not that visible n always seems so strong. I think Solar is a very private n reserved person with strangers, she hardly ever talks about her hardships or the worries she goes through. I remember so many times she was not even seen in so many mmtvs cuz she was in work mode. Like being that buffer to not offend any seniors or casting crews, it always plays in her head to be mindful n shields the maknaes that way hence they can be more free with their jokes n all. While she always try n makes sure everything goes smoothly. Cuz as much as they are beagle, there's a fine line it can get offenssive if not handled properly. She always has that zeal to do well, wishes the best for all her members n takes care of them n ensures them. I can only wish, her worries can also be relieved n she doesn't feel that burdened. Like she can never admit she might be having a slump or bad day like the others n keep it going for long. as a leader, she has to push forward no matter how hard n exhausting it is. She always has to be strong n take charge, n i respect her for that.

Yeah I in one fan meeting when Solar was injured for her back and her absence at that day really made me realised she has always be the one who controlled the whole situation and organised for every section.

everyone is so used to her being a crackhead, a leader that's easy to bullied that they forget solar is actually really serious and strict to her members when needed and that's how you know how mamamoo became so successful. a leader who's like a mother and also a sibling.

It's mostly fancams so it's hard to find. I came across a few on twitter during that period but I'm not sure if they are still there.

Yongsun is underrated as a leader, she is IMO one of the best kpop leaders. She's always the first one to loosen up, get crazy. She has the visual to be your perfect elegant lady in any gg, but she never cares about that. And I think becuz she is always the first one to act like a crackhead, it makes the members feel so much easier to follow and be themselves naturally. I mean, look at Wheein, she is an introvert during interviews/variety appearances without the members, but whenever Yongsun's acting crazy, she will follow energetically and act crazy too lol. I also like how she led the group to break the music bank(?) rule to go into the audience to sing with them, she genuinely seems really down to earth, not caring about an idol image. I think she has that fearlessness, and its so refreshing among idol leaders. Definitely, she helped set the right tone for the group.

Solar felt the pressure of bein the oldest. Difference in age between Solar, Wheein & Hyejin are 4yrs and that in itself is large age gap. And considering at the time, the young ones prolly look up to her for protection & some sort of anchor for stability. So it's truly understandable that she treats them like her own children. Solar really has raised them all well.

It wasn’t always good times like now 😢 they’ve been through a lot. It says a lot about her that they’ve been through so much, fought and clawed from the bottom, and made their way to where they are now. Yong is without question a strong leader. Can you imagine the personal sacrifice of pride and ego she had to make? There have been moments she has deflected the main vocal title, even saying she doesn’t believe she is the best singer in the group. She’s stern, but uplifting. Constantly encouraging her girls to be better and leading by example. She’s not given enough credit for her role as Leader 😢.

Yong-Leader is strict, but she's loving and caring and beautiful. She's imperfectly perfect, a ray of sunshine in my life that can also be terrifying, and a woman I can look up to. I'm crying, this was an amazing tribute to her, thank you😭. Hell, she's not even my bias and she has my heart😅.

Stopppp this had me crying especially when solar and hwasa were hugging and crying like- that’s adorable and so cool how they just understand each other from that hug it made me cry

4 young girls put together from different backgrounds and having to deal with great expectations. They did it as well as possible. They’re super-talented artists. But the greatest thing about them is how they’ve grown as individuals and as a family. They’re honest and genuine people. And in spite of what they say, they’re surprisingly open about their thoughts and feelings. That’s why I’m a fan.

I come back here after watching Solar crying on idol radio. Hope she can share her burdens more to the members. It must been hard for her keeping it all alone, not wanting other members to worry about her. It’s okay to cry sometimes, Solar. Hope people will show and give more love and support to her ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The maknae line always feel bad for Yong because they don't know how to show that they are actually care so much for Yong. Especially Hwasa, that's why Yong and Hwasa always cry when talking about each other.

I'm a new moomoo and Solar is my bias. I've never realized this side of YongSun before watching this video. Solar is an amazing leader, it's incredible how she seems to be the most " Oh whatever " in the group but she's actually the one with most hardships, basically because she never talks about them and keep it to herself. Solar is probably one of the best kpop leaders, she not only is the moodmaker but she's alsl strict when she needs to be, and she protects her members so well ( There's an interview where the reporter keeps asking Hwasa about her no-bra "issue" and Solar looks so pissed and tells moonbyul to answer the question, because the reporter was basically leading Hwasa to answer in a controversial way ) this not only shows how much she cares but also how quick she is to get things

Finally someone made the video of Yong being the leader, thank you so much for making it, I have been looking for this content so long and finally it is out :). I am reall happy Mamamoo is grtting the recognition they deserved long ago and that our girls are so supportive and strong. I love Mamamoo and this is one of the reasons I love them, because they take care of ach other and ready for fight for the members. Yong is known as Yeba but she is a great leader too and she is always teady to protect and support her members, like everybody mentioned I love her duality too and how serious she geths in an instant if it is neseccary. One of the great moments I saw Solar's leadership and strictness was, when they were pranking Hwasa on her birthday and how her face changes and asks to turn off the cameras off because she undertands it is not for recording her face is so full of concern and it shows how much the girls struggled and fought in the past and how again protective they are of each other. I never seen this side of Solar, thanks for this Video. Solar is really precious and my respect to her increased. She's really caring, and I never thought that she has this side. Anyway not only to Solar but each one of the members are really something. I'm glad this GG exist and I'm glad I knew them. Talented and precious, deserves the love and no space for hate.

Im hoping id get to see them grow even bigger. Honestly, theyre the most SNSD like idols. Their bond. Their dynamics. The fact that they dont care about their image especially on variety shows. How much fun they try to have while performing. But theyre also unique in a way that they break korean standards with their diverse personality, body types, and outlook.

I wouldn't compare their friendship to snsd's. SNSD lost one member and never mention her again, and the youngest keep using formal speech with their unnies. They don't seem like they're really friends, they're colleagues

Solar is and will always be my bias. I've seen through her tough exterior that she has in fact a big heart and she's really, really sensitive. She just tries to cope with it the best she can. Seeing all those moments really made me appreciate her even more. Just the little details sometimes are worth the biggest affection that someone can give us

While we can comment being a leader must be hard..easily, Even then we don't rlly get how hard exactly..with Mamamoo, their disposition is so cheery and bright, it seems like they never went through any difficulties but that's so so false, coming from a v small company they basically saved from bankruptcy, with no clout in the industry and a ‘different’ sort of a girl group behaviour/concept, Yongsun unnie must have had to deal with a lot..so many of the music shows and companies are shady and everyone knows how people behave with newcomers from small companies in the industry from BTS' own stories, on top of it add sexism also for MMM. They must have had it so hard. And even then it's taken them such a long time to come to a place where they are respected and can be less stressed. I mean they were invited to perform in MAMA for the first time in 2018...☠️ Yongsun has been a great leader.. dealing with so much for so long and yet keeping up the spirits of her members, never letting them be less than they are, slowly learning how to work with their needs but still be strict when required. Now that Mamamoo are doing more and more solo activities, I see the hints of patience and strength Yong instilled in them. I'm so so proud of her. She's done so well for her group, for herself. I love her and MMM so much T__T and i hope they continue to get recognised for their brilliance. Fighting!

before i finally settled that my bias is wheein, the first one that caught my eye was actually yong because she was so pretty and caring. she reminds me of a friendly older girl next door who will always greet you with a smile when you see them. she has such a warm aura that you just can't help but melt a little inside :)

Hands down this is my favourite video about Mamamoo's bond around here. Yongsun is amazing and I am so proud of her. She's the most hardworking person I know and she still manages to surprise me. She never gives up and it affects other girls. Mamamoo is that group that works hard, goes their own special way and it's their secret of success. Do what you like and be the most passionate about it.

this video made me cry ;A; i've been solar bias since the beginning and I find there's so much we can learn from her. she's really an amazing person. I think I would understand as someone who have no experience in being a leader to be suddenly thrown a leadership role, it is difficult. but i think she does her job really well and seeing how the other girls understand and love her really makes me proud and touched.

You did a great job with this. I have watched it several times since you published it. It really explains the factors that made Solar my favorite in Mamamoo. I love Hwasa very much. My friend David has dubbed Hwasa the Goddess of Thickness, and I couldn't agree more, but to me, Solar is the Goddess of elegance, goofiness, charity (yes she donates a lot), and Leadership. I am so happy to see her continuing to lead these fearless women forward. Have you ever noticed, these women are not afraid to try anything? I think that, haunted houses aside, Solar has that effect on the team.

I'm very very new to this fandom... like 2 or 3 days ago. I REGRET NOTHING, and now let me just cry after watching this video.
