Solar Ash Hardcore Hitless | 4K, Ultrawide (21:9) | True Ending | Glutton For Punishment Unlock
With the Steam release, and me happening to upgrade my PC very recently, I thought I'd go for another Hardcore Hitless run, to make another SA challenge run video, this time as a "high quality" variant (including the Hardcore Steam achievement unlock, in-game music, 4K resolution, and the 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio), excluding the Polare text commentary from the world's first version (first time beating Hardcore Hitless - • Solar Ash Hardcore Hit... )
For those who want to run Solar Ash on Ultrawide, follow these instructions - www.reddit.com/r/widescreenga...

8:05-8:08 is crazy I don't understand how you have so much momentum jumping off the ooze.

Speedrunners call this trick a “goop dash” I believe. You jump off after Rei’s goop climb animation (the one after inputting boost while on the goop) carrying the momentum.
Thanks mate, super useful video! Just got the platinum trophy on PS4

Cool to hear that someone used my challenge run replay as an achievement guide! My pleasure ^^
who else here trying to get the voidrunner trophy and the hardcore trophy same run
I'd break my controller at this difficulty. I beat it on novice because the bosses all suck.
I assume you used hxd to get ultrawide working? What Hex code did you search for to replace? I wasn't able to find instances of 39 8E E3 3F
Btw how do you do that super jump? Both the one without pressing the slow motion button and the one pressing it

The "super jump" while in slow motion is called a "railslip". When Rei grabs onto a rail, you get a little speed boost (not a normal Rei boost), it's kinda invisible. When you spam rail grab (while controlling Rei's general movement), you're essentially stacking multiple rail boosts, this is called "partying" (it looks like Rei's at a party, with her hands up lol). To properly railslip, right before landing/grabbing a rail, activate timeslip, then spam rail grab a couple times (partying while in timeslip), once timeslip runs out you jump. The other super jump is basically a triple jump. It requires boost jumping, then timing the second jump in a very specific way, then you're able to do the third jump at any time (the third jump is when she flips, so her regular double jump animation would be her third jump). If you want more details on how to do this stuff, I'd recommend checking out this Speedrunning tutorial playlist kzread.info/dash/bejne/iKB6kpWBaJuylKg.html&ab_channel=bryonato
