Yes, power harrow. I'm not sure how much it costs, I'm guessing around 2000 € 🤔

so I'm guessing with the banjo music you go to family reunions to find wives

First we spread some cow slurry for fertilizer, then we plowed the field to turn the soil over. Then we harrowed it with power harrow to loosen the soil and prepare it for planting and finally we planted corn 😉

Its not necessary but Fiat wouldn't be able to run power harrow or slurry tanker and Deutz or JD are too big for planter...

Well the back part is but this also has rotating blades that are powered by PTO 😉

Is that a rototiller/cultipacker combination? Sure does a nice job with soil preparation. When I heard the noise I thought it must be a big rock. Was surprised to see that big piece of metal. I liked the fiddle and banjo music. 😀

Power harrow.

are you planning to till that land after every season? please consider going no-till or implement more regenerative agriculture techniques such as crop covers, grazing etc. so that you dont loose the fertility of your soil and organic matter. Greetings from mexico!

Yeah, we plow it every spring but in the fall we go over with power harrow and seed ryegrass for the cover crop. I'm considering alternative ways of tillage but not sure what would work here 🤔

@@thomasbodeker6702 No it doesn't. A lot of variables to consider. Not the least of which is soil type and a desire to improve the soil fertility and structure. This farmer uses a lot of manure, in one form or another, and the soil needs to be tilled for the benefits of that to be realized. Like so many other things in life, the reality is not a "one size fits all-cookie cutter approach.
