You just enter the captivating world of SOHYANG. There are many cover songs such as 'Bridge over the troubled water', 'Lean on Me' or 'I will always lover you' in her own style which are all very different from the original. BUT Korean songs, "BREATHE" or "ASINAYO" will be very interesting to react. Welcome to the world of QUEEN SOHYANG!

Thank you for your reaction. Welcome to the world of Sohyang. Please react. 1. Everyone: This is the most difficult song in her life, Sohyang said. This song is a total set of all the techniques. 2. Lean on me: This song was performed in front of Michael Bolton. After the performance, Michael Bolton said. Sohyang is on the level of a master. Sohyang said her wish is to do a duet with Michael Bolton here. Later, Michael Bolton invited Sohyang to his concert and performed a duet together. If you look at the video, you'll be able to see the incredible improvisation of Sohyang in the duet. 3. Bridge over troubled water: It's a song of full emotion that doesn't need words. 4. (already)Arirang alone: A song that expresses Korean emotions well, a movie-like song, a song that captures B flat5 with chest sound, I recommend it. 5. recently : Amazing Grace, Never enough 6. Rap: Day Day

So hyang one of my favorite female vocalists. Her performance of “ everyone” is beyond amazing. But I have a request that you react to her closest and best friend, “Park Ki Young”, I like Park Ki Young because they have about the same vocal range but Park Ki Young is a tad more versatile and can belt them with equal emotional impact and power in rock, pop, soul, jazz flamenco, and classical ( opera). “ So hyang” receives a lot more reactors and reactions than Park Ki Young” because of her ability to sing some American songs in English which she performs with emotional impact. But please don’t judge a vocalist by the number of requests you receive-altho your fans are usually right. But I’m a professional singer and my singing friends unanimously agree that both So Hyang and Park Ki Young are not only world class vocalists but equal in talent. What I’m trying to say is I believe Park Ki Young deserves far more reactions and I promise you and your subscribers who love So Hyang ( and I am among them) that you won’t be disappointed listening to a Park Ki Young song. They are both about the same age ( early 40s but look amazing for their age!) and the closest and best of friends. Please start your Park Ki Young Journey PRIVATELY with a KZread video titled” Park Kiyoung best High notes” vid ( 5:56 long she belts a C5 between 3:55 and 4:11 that’s 17 seconds!! She also hits an F6 omg in this compilation. This will give you a good representation of what she can do . And she has a low belting register also. Once you’re convinced of her amazing voice, I suggest you begin your public reaction to Nella Fantasia” ( click first vid 4:08 duration) which I consider the best rendition I have ever heard of this song and I have heard all the world class vocalists perform it) You’ve just begun your journey. Staying with opera, please consider next an operetta masterpiece titled “I dreamt I Dwelt In Marble Halls Park” ( 5:02). One of the rare ones performed by her in English and Sung the way it was intended to be sung; in opera style and NOT as a ballad as Anya’s popular version was renditioned in ( hauntingly beautiful but a total departure from its roots which was taken from an 1836 Operetta titled Bohemian Rapture. Now that you know what a fabulous voice she has, you may want to continue to publicly react to any of the following that showcases her ability to perform in a multitude of genres. ** * soul “Goodbye a word that’s too short” ( click 5:08 one she’s in the celestial realm and sustains the last note a long time. *Soul “wound” ( emotionally impactful 5:57 duration with the blue strobe lighting) *soul “Hit hee Park Ki Young” (one of my all-time favorites 5:18 duration) Soul/R& B “Lonely Night” ( one of a serious of “ Mask” performances that she won. Amazing vocal range and the ending is up in the stratosphere. *Flamenco“ “To You” ( awesome flamenco beat. If you love flamenco, you will love her performance!Click the 4:28 posted by KBS) ** Rock “ Spring Rain” ( rock /soul with an emotionally impactful and incredible raspy voice ending. 6:53 posted by KBS) All ParkKiyoung songs I recommend are live performances. Again, I love Sohyang but hope you give her closest friend a chance to showcase her world-class talent. All love in isolation from Miami Beach, Florida, Al

I came to this channel because of your reactions to Pentatonix, and then Home Free. So happy you have now added, what I consider, one of the two best female vocalists in the world right now. The other is a 24 year-old singer from the Phillipines named Morisette Amon that I also think will astound you. You owe it to yourself to check out Sohyang's version of 'Never Enough' that she created for the virtual opening of the 2020 Olympics. I use the term "version" purposefully, because this is so much more than a cover. She re-arranged it and added a little surprise that is portrayed in the video impressively.

'Arirang alone'... this song contains Korean people's sadness about national division of Korean peninsula and our earnest longing for the reunification... the lyrics in this song are mostly metaphorical expressions... For example, Baekdu and Halla are the names of the 2 highest mountains located northern and southern edges of Korean peninsula and Dokdo is the name of Ireland located on the eastern edge of Korean territory.

Well it is not "nothing for her." The last reduction from high emotion to near silence is one of THE most difficult singing gymnastics to pull off because your adrenaline is just pumping and then in an instant you must bring your vocal chords back to a totally relaxed and neutral place. You won't see THAT very often!

I believe that in order to get a better idea of what this song is about, it is necessary to listen to the versions that are probably closer to the probable original. I think the North Korean version - except for the last stanza that has apparently been added to promote propagandistic aims - is truer to the original. Based on my own independent study of Korean language and history its vocabulary is largely based on Hebrew, Akkadian, and Geez, a language that has a similar relationship to Tigrinya (a northern Ethiopian language) as Latin does to Italian. All of these languages are classified as Hamito-Semitic or Afro-Asiatic languages, although it seems many Koreans probably don't have enough respect for Africa to consider the evidence that would support the belief Korean is one of these Hamito-Semitic languages. Recently, there has been some research to show that Korean has many similarities to "Sumerian" which is closely linked to Akkadian. I believe this song is probably much much older than the 600+ years that has been mentioned, and its author has apparently inserted Hebrew words in a coded way to remind Koreans of their spiritual roots. If you look at a translation of the North Korean version, it becomes more obvious. It seems that this Korean folk song has concatenated many Hebraic words in order to preserve a Messianic message for future generations. I believe the original lyrics of the chorus were Ariel, Ariel, Ari, Ariel - or alternatively Avraham, Avraham, Ari Ariel. Ari means "lion" in Hebrew, and Ariel is the ancient name for Tsiyyon ("Zion"), which is the holy mountain in the Bible, and one that is important in Biblical prophecy. The fact that Ariel, which apparently later morphed to "Arirang", was originally intended as the destination appears likely, because some versions use the preposition meaning "to" rather than "over" after the phrase "Arirang hill" (Korean 아리람 고개로), so this would mean that Arirang hill is not just an obstacle to overcome on the way, but rather the final destination. The allusions to rest appear to be references to the sabbaths that must be observed on the way there, since it is several thousand miles from Korea to the holy mountain. In the version sung in North Korea, there is a reference to a few Biblical narratives. One phrase says 10 "ri" (which would be equivalent to about 4 km, since almost 400 meters is equivalent to one "ri" - but in Korean, "ri" also refers to an administrative district such as a village) would not be reached before there would be a disabling foot ailment. (Apparently 1 "ri" is equivalent to 700-1000 paces, depending on whether one is carrying a load or whether one is an adult or child.) This is apparently very rich in symbolism of various kinds. I believe there are a few important Biblical themes being symbolised here. First is the prophecy found in Genesis 3 that the seed of the woman would crush the serpent's head while the latter bites the former's heel. Most Biblical scholars acknowledge that this is a prophecy about the Messiah (who as offspring conceived within a virgin is her seed) and most Christians believe the reference to the serpent's biting the Messiah's heel is a reference to the crucifixion. If one reads Matthew 10, where Yeshua commissions his 12 apostles to evangelise the 10 houses of Israel, who at this point were scattered around the world, it becomes clear why this song is saying that not all 10 districts would be reached before the foot injury occurs. A secondary referent of the symbolism seems to be Baal-Peor, which is represented by the Korean word "Baal-byeong"; although "byeong" means ailment or disease, I believe it came to mean this as it was borrowed from this name of a place where there was an altar set up for Baal; and in fact, the people who were sexually seduced into into idolatrous worship of Baal at Peor were struck with plagues. It was also the fact that Israel never managed to rid herself of Baal worship that became the reason YHVH allowed her to be conquered by her enemies and thereby scattered among the nations. The word "shibri" actually is the masculine form of the number "seven" in Hebrew; so the fact that a Hebrew word like that appears in a Korean folk song in such a context seems significant. Also the word "radah" means "enlarge" or expand, so the combination of "ri" and "do" appearing in juxtaposed fashion appears significant as well. The next concatenated Hebrew words seem to be the Hebrew word "chomot", which means "wall"; "mot", which means "established" (in Ge'ez, "mot" means "death", probably because sacrifice was a way of establishing or ratifying covenants); "azab", which means to "restore" or "repair"; and "aseh", which means "make" or "do". In essence, the song seems to suggest that the Messiah was ordained to die as a propitiatory death for the sins of the children of Israel before reaching the 10 lost houses of Israel (and Yeshua died after 4000 thousand years of human history (of which 6000 is ordained before the return of the Messiah, based on James Ussher's analysis); and a double meaning is that before 7000 thousand years are reached, we will be restored and be able to worship again at Tsiyyon. Interestingly, there if you read the conclusion of Kant's famous work "Critique of Practical Reason", it makes reference to the same glorious promise that this Korean song makes reference to. According to Kant: "Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing wonder [Bewunderung] and reverence, the more often and more steadily one reflects on them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me. I do not need to search for them and merely conjecture them as though they were veiled in obscurity or in the transcendent region beyond my horizon; I see them before me and connect them immediately with the consciousness of my existence” (Critique of Practical Reason, 5: 161)." According to the versions of Arirang that were probably earliest, "As the heavens are replete with many stars, in our hearts are many dreams". I believe both are referring to the promise made to Abraham: "“By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand, which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” (Genesis 22:16-18). I heard that there is a version of this folk song in Tamil culture. Additionally grammarians point out the similarities between Korean and Dravidian languages such as Tamil. But the first European to write a detailed account of Korean, Joseph Harger, observed that the syllabaries of Korean are almost the same ast those of "Aksumite" and Amharic - yet there has been little if any further research into those links. These facts seems to support the belief that both Tamil and Korean cultures were heavily influenced by ancient Aksum.

This is today's performance: kzread.info/dash/bejne/la2Zw5eFkZiuidY.html When I hear Sohyang's refreshingly crystal clear voice, I think about the river called Gihon, which is the river of purification traditionally reserved for baptism and the cleansing bath for young women before marriage. Gihon is the second river mentioned in the Bible, so it appears to be a "remnant" of the uncorrupted paradise called Eden that YHVH by His gracious kindness has allowed His people to be blessed with today. Interestingly "gihon" means "married" in Korean. dict.naver.com/search.dict?dicQuery=%EA%B8%B0%ED%98%BC&query=%EA%B8%B0%ED%98%BC&target=dic&ie=utf8&query_utf=&isOnlyViewEE= Today, "Gihon" is referred to as the "Blue Nile", which flows from Lake Tana in northern Ethiopia. In a historical and spiritual sense, Korea has become heirs to the rivers of Gihon via the ancient kingdom of Aksum, which preserved the pure Judaic legacy that would serve as the soil from which Yeshua would come into the world. "Goguryo" is a word that has a meaning in Ge'ez and Tigrinya (a language similar to the Ge'ez spoken in Aksum); but sadly Koreans are not aware of what Goguryo means - and maybe it is because most Koreans do not have friends from Tigray, the custodians of so much of the heritage relevant to the Nazarenes and Ebionites, who were the first believers in Yeshua. "Goguryo" is a very commonly used phrase even today, and it means "Look it up" (literally "Dig it up"). From this word, the Hebrew word "gulgoleth" and the name for the place Yeshua was crucified, "Golgotha" are apparently derived. Additionally, it seems that the name of the Korean kingdom called "Balhae" is derived from the Ge'ez/Tigrinyan name "Berhe", which means "enlightened". Getting back to "Gihon", it is related to the Hebrew words "gez" (which means to shear, as when one is cutting off lamb's wool) and "Ge'ez", the ancient language of Aksum, and one of the oldest in the world. I have found that many Korean words are derived from Ge'ez, Akkadian and Hebrew, and some from Gafat. Ge'ez, Hebrew, and Gafat were all spoken in Aksum at the time of Yeshua. If one wishes to see how important Aksum was in Korean history, they should look at the 1402 map called Gangnido, where Lake Tana is drawn disproportionately large. Relatedly, the Gihon River is understood by Tigrayans as something that mediates between Adam and HeaWan ("Eve" or "Chava"). "Hon" means "Let it be" in Tigrinya, and it functions in a way similar to the root "khun" ("kh" is pronounced like "ch" in Bach" or like the Hebrew letter Chet). The first word spoken by YHVH is "Yekhun", and this refrain is repeated several times in the creation narrative. "Yekhun" means "Let there be", and it is a profound word that apparently refers to a sort of ordinance pertaining to something that is created in the spiritual realm that becomes realised and perfected through time (in physical manifestation). Relatedly, the Korean word for an engagement treaty/contract between two families and the ones they approve for engagement is "yakhon". ""Placing Eden in the region of the Mountains of the Moon, Farissol removes the difficulty presented by the fact that the Euphrates and Tigris are in Asia by declaring that these rivers, though taking their rise in Africa, actually run underground till they reappear in Assyria (comp. Pausanias, ii. 5)." www.jewishencyclopedia.com/articles/6668-gihon
