bit late, but this video has been very interesting and insightful and i really enjoyed listening to this even tho i dont listen to much sinhalese podcasts. keep up the good work. I want to address the favouritism thing that was mentioned in the video. Ofc at the time of making this video there may have not been favourism towards where the candidates come from, but at the time of writing this i have seen several job advertisments for software engineers explicitly mentioning "Candidates from govermnent universities will be prioritised", which imo is just blatant favourism and discimination. Another thing is maybe u can address why job requirements for entry level roles now have really inflated. Some of these requirements ive seen dont even make sense for entry level jobs, its like they are looking for a whole team of people in a single person 🤣.Once again, great work on this podcast ^_^

මේක දැන් පට්ටම චාටර් කිහිප විටක් හිතලා වෙනත් විකල්පයක් නැති නම් විතරක් ඹ්පන් එකේ දෙයක් කරන්න පොත් නැහැ පහල බාලාංශ සමහර ලෙක්චර්ස්ලා මොන්ටිසෝරි වල උගන්වන්න වත් ගැලපෙන්නේ නැහැ specially computer science some subjects are nil. as a example AI and computer architecture, wireless don't select due to any reasons. lecturing and study and materials are nil. but not only these 2 subjects. chemistry is bit OK. after you register and waste money and time only most realize your wastes.

AFAIK, no. After getting a degree qualification, O/L and AL result more or less irrelevant. Maybe there are some edge situations that I am not aware of. In general, NO.

Private හරි A/L කරන එක තමයි ලංකාවේ දී ගොඩක් වෙලාවට හොඳ. පාසලෙන් පිටත හරි. එහෙම නැත්තන් කෙලින්ම degree program එකකට ගියාට කමක් නෑ. ඒ හැර A/L නොකර ගොඩ ගිය කිහිප දෙනෙක් හිටියට මට ඒක recomend කරන්න බෑ. risk එක වැඩියි. රජයේ කැම්පස් එකකට යන්න අදහසක් ලොකුවට නැත්තන්, මම කියන්නේ private class ගිහින් O/L ඉවර වුන ගමං A/L කරලා private degree එක් කරන්න. නැත්තන් O/L වලින් විතරක් ඇතුලත් වෙන්න පුළුවන් ඔයාට හොඳයි කියල හිතෙන පිලිගත්ත විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයකින් කරන degree එකක් කරන්න.

මම ඉගනගෙන නැති නිසා සහ ඒවා ගැන විශේෂයෙන් හොයලා බලලා නැති නිසා මට institute අතර සංසන්ධනයක් කරන්න බැහැ. :(

දුක් විදලා ඉගෙන ගත්තෙ වහල් රස්සාවක් කරන්නද ? මම කියන්නම් අත්දැකීමෙන් 1. උදෙ 9.30 කාර්යාලයට යනවා 2. හවස 6 ගෙදර යන්න ලෑස්ති වෙනකොට QA එක්කො project manager කාලකන්නි bug එකක් උස්සං එනව හදපිය කියලා. 3. ගෙදර ගිහින් ඉවරයි night ඉදලා නිදි මරාගෙන bug එක හදනවා 4 පහුවදා උදෙ හවස ඉදං වැඩ. Ot නෑ අඩුම ගානෙ නිවාඩු දවසක් වත් නෑ දෙන්නෙ. Release දවස් වලත් මෙහෙමයි. මෙ වගෙ අපෙ රස්සාව වහලුන් වගෙ වැඩ ගන්න එකට එරෙහිව කතා කරපං බං.

​​@@CodeWithDasunayye I love to learn Various kinds of programming languages. i followed ICT for my AL s and from that on I wonder how people created these programming languages... The mindset of those people like It's literally a new language based on general protocols. Right now I'm following python and C# because they're kind of easy to understand. Also I really like the management side ayye. like right now I'm following an HND in SE and I always love to see how our university's management works. I joined the student association of my campus and now I'm the vice president of our association. There were times where we needed sponsorships to gather funds to organize some big events in the campus. So our branch manager arranged some meetings with nearby Companies, banks etc and I also went with him. When I see The way, they lead ppl and manage various kinds of tasks... I just really love to do that kind of stuff and I'm really good at it too. So the bottom line is I love coding and I really like the management part of a workplace( Marketing, long term planning, facing challenges n problem solving). I can see myself 100% working in an environment like that but i would see myself 90% working in a place with just doing coding and projects. I really want to know if there is a specific job role that i would be able to use my skills to the fullest. Don't get me wrong I know I've to start from somewhere but I really want to have a target career path so I can improve myself.
