A Month ago I driving back from the hospital, where my father was lying with terminal cancer. Memories were going through my mind of the past & songs that he really enjoyed. Before I knew it I was humming this tune. Two days later I phoned him up & asked him if he could remember this song... on which he replied " my boy, you never forget true love". Well when I discovered it here it shook my up big time, every time I listen to this song I think of you dad.... Love you DAD!!!

You know this guy makes singing a non effort thing! He has such a strong voice and makes no effort at all too just sing.. So many people sing and HAVE to make an effort, if you all know what I mean. I think he has such a sexy voice and the words of the song are so sensual, not too sure about the jesus look though, but I suppose those were the days hehe

The lead singer's name is Brian Keith, a brilliant session singer from the 60's and 70's..sadly, no further info at this point. His voice, the choir and the simple lead guitar chords make this an absolute pop/rock classic. Hope this helps.

@zacyspad Very nice. Watching our parents die is not pleasant but me and my dad would never have been able to speak of music or love so in that you're blessed. I think this song has to touch all those of us who hear it and were blessed to know love. Be well man.

Oh my gosh.. I have written on here before but... and to cut a long story short, my dad died a couple of weeks ago and I was going through stuff as you do.. and I found an old record full off all different songs from different periods of time, and in 1993 I had written on one of the covers of a record that for mum and dad in case (I died) to play "this song" at my funeral!! .. My hubby nearly fell over, cause I always play this song, but too see it in ink from years ago ..creepy lol

@pattino1fan1 Thanks for the thoughts & great input. He passed away on 23rd August. It might sound really out of place, but there was relief when he passed, as his pain & suffering had come to an end. His biggest pain was when I lost my daughter in June, 2 days after her 15th birthday. She was the apple of his eye. A tough year indeed.
