    Great tip, Pete! I do the same with mine except once I get the paper on the mandrel & all pieces in the correct direction I’ll twist the ends of all the little cuts. I’ve learned that by doing that it’ll fluff up more & become a thicker sanding mop.

    Thanks Jesse. So you don't cut them first? How many pieces do you use and are they not hard to cut when piled on?

    @@peteblairakathemadscientist I should’ve been more clear, I do cut them first, then put them on the mandrel & then twist the cuts in random directions. I suppose I could try twisting them before I put them on the mandrel….

    LOL, that was one of my early mandrels which was drilled on both ends but only threaded on one!
