No problem and my Ecosport will freeze up once a year or so and I just do the hack and it’s good to go so you may have to do the same. Glad it helped you out and please be kind to someone!

so for those who want to fix this permanently, you have to go into settings and default to original factory settings, Chose NOT to connect to the internet for updates and chose NOT to connect to Ford Pass. Your screen will never freeze again. THANKS FORD

My screen has frozen about 3 or 4 times during my initial year of ownership on my 2020 Ecosport and I am connected to FordPass and receive updates.

@@tomsimmonds9598 The trick is to set up FordPass prior to pairing your phone. Try doing a master reset to clear everything out, delete FordPass and after that set up your FordPass first and then pair your phone.

Try manually resetting it by removing the fuse that controls the sync system, and then reinstall after waiting for 5 minutes. You can also disconnect both battery cables, hold the ends together for 15 seconds and reattach after 5 minutes. Both work usually but sometimes the module is fried and there’s no fix! Hope you get it going!

Can u help or show anything for a 2015 Ford Fusion sync screen frozen. I changed my fuses for my radio and audio and my sync still frozen, I can rest because it’s frozen, my radio works and CD works just sync is stuck.

The other way besides the fuse hack is to take off both battery cables and hold the ends together for 15 seconds wait a couple of minutes and reattach. That fix is an actual tsb from Ford to manually reset it. Have you registered it at syncmyride.com If not do so. It’s free and allows you to get a free software update. Good luck.

work on sync 3 on escape hybrid sel 2021 ?? sometimes have fault when looking for usb songs. it put me cant navigate at this moment ((on audio no gps ok )) turn off and turn on and again search usb songs and the fault returns

How can I do this for my 2016 Ford Taurus? When I hold both buttons it just cuts the radio like you would if you just pressed the power button. Doesn’t go completely black. Shows the date and time. My radio only plays, when I hit aux or phone nothing happens and the usb doesn’t seem to work either. Please help

You should be able to do a master reset which sets it back to factory specs. If you’re not able to do that your sync system needs to be manually reset. First try taking out the fuse that runs sync, wait a minute and put it back in. The other is to take off both battery cables, touch the battery cables together at the part that connects to the battery for 15 seconds and reattach after 5 minutes. Once it unfreezes go to Fords site for sync sync my ride.com and get a free software upgrade.

Tried it still.doesnt work but reverse camera does cannot turn radio stations over and volume button on steering wheel doesn't work when screen goes back any ideas please inside ut needs a reboot really really slow cannot turn off also using standby button takes about 40secs

Sounds like you have a module issue of some kind but until the techs run a diagnosis you’re guessing. You might try a couple of things to manually unfreeze the system but not sure if they would work on the newer software but you used to be able to take off the battery cables, hold the ends together for 15 seconds and then reattach to the battery. The other one entailed taking out the fuse that runs sync and after a minute reinstalling it.

I have a 20 Ecosport and still have to use the hack from time to time. It does unfreeze it and lasts for quite some time but for whatever reason the screen will go black or start acting up. I just do the hack again and it works fine.

Too old of a vehicle but you can still do a master reset if it’s not working but you’ll lose anything paired to sync

Soft reset or master reset doesn't work. Map is constant buffer mode

Sorry it’s not doing it for you. I have had it happen and then shut off the car and it never happened again. Hope you’re in the same boat but you might also be screwed and the modules bad.

@@quinised I have several videos dealing with Sync and you might watch the one that shows you how to reset the system. Just go to my home page and you’ll see it. Sometimes you need to manually reset the system but hopefully the reset does it.
