Nvm what people say. Everything from tje 80's according to today standard is "gay" I was born in 81 so pretty much grew up in tje 90's but the 80's is second to none.

Essa música começou a tocar nas rádios alternativas brasileiras em 82 e seguiu sendo executada por todos os anos 80 e 90. Pergunte para a nova geração se eles sabem quem é Marc Almond /Soft Cell e poucos/pouquíssimos saberão. Aliás, nem rádios alternativas temos mais. Está tudo dominado pelo funk carioca e sertanejo "universitário" (que de universitário não tem nada). Como fomos parar nessa indigência cultural tão baixa?

@@paulpaulmg alguns dançavam sozinhos simplesmente movimentando o corpo como em uma viagem particular conectando a sensação da música talvez com algo bom que ela estaria em busca como se la desse esse poder. Muitos outros faziam passos de dança coletivos. Enfim, pelo que eu sentia e pelo que observava ela possibilitava de tudo nas pistas. Posso acrescentar algo particular da minha observação: essa música já era antiga mas explodiu nas pistas anos depois, isso é um clássico. Atemporal. Será boa sempre e espero que vocxe curta muito ela porque é muito gostosa de ouvir e dançar.

Torch what Else can you say it's Mark and he always does it well. The Greatest Singer and Entertainer of this beautiful Magic Music.

I was a punk rocker about this time but liked some of the new wave and new romantic stuff such as this, its stood the test of time and sounds just as fresh today as it did then.

When i was 15 years old this song was released. My "lovely" stepfather and my mother divorced. İ had only a matras to sleep on and a cassete player. İ was playing this song over and over again and just cry. İ knew i was gay at that moment. İ was so depressed and lonely at the time but this song helped me to runaway.

Takes me straight back to those days. The most evocative track for me from that era. I was 13 years old then and a blend of hope and melancholy, with a sweet innocence never to be repeated. I saw Marc at The Palladium in October 2022. After 3 hours in to sitting in my seat, my arthritic knees made sitting unbearbly painful, so at 10am, me and my wife had to reluctantly leave. As we did, Marc called us out and humilated us as we left. Never meet your heroes, eh ?

Verdade. Eu ouvia muito a transamérica Curitiba em 1991 e essa de vez em quando tocava no Naftalina que começava sempre as 13 horas. Naquela época dava gosto ouvir rádio.

Isso sim é algo bom de ouvir! Atualmente, qualquer ruído ou som tosco, dão o nome de música!

My favourite Soft Cell song. Dave was the music. I sat in a studio with him once, and it was like watching a professor at work. Genius.

Jesus, the memories these records bring me. I worked and did all my socialising in the West End, in the 80's, where you could hear this kind of music everywhere.
