The song 'Together in Electric Dreams' is one of those rare gems of music that are created practically out of thin air. Incredibly, this electronic anthem was created in just ten minutes! But behind this moment of speed are two geniuses of the musical world - Giorgio Moroder and Philip Oakey

Interesting how many 80s USA films had British artists to make the soundtrack. Electric Dreams was made in 1984 before the world wide web existed, which wasn't until the 90s, but could be about the world wide web. Lovely song too and more memorable than the film it was made for. Phil is still performing with the women from Human League, and they're still more gorgeous than many women half their age.

Nothing beats the 80's music!
2000's teenager still love the 80s ❤️
This is just a masterpiece of a song ! 🎵 I am from the 90s but I really look at the 80s and wish that was my era I really do life looked so great back then .This song will never get old or boring this decade will always go on and on . This song is also great as its emotional to think of good times gone by . Absolutely 💯 classice forever and ever !
This song takes me back to the days when I was a teen. Carefree, no cell phones .. just pure freedom. Today I have teen children and am still listening to this song. I may be older but this song is evergreen… Has not aged a day!!
Still sounds just as great 30 odd years later.

My favourite song of all time. Aged 73 and this song will eventually play me out on passing. Reflecting how short life is but not the end, as we will always be together in ‘Electric Dreams ‘.
One of the best pop songs ever, beautifully crafted
Giorgio Moroder and Phil Oakey brought this to our ears back in 1984 and boy it still sounds just as good 37 years later in 2021. Thank you for creating what has to be one of the top songs of the 1980’s. I never ever tire of hearing it or watching the video....thanks guys ❤️

Sheryl McAlister I want this to be played at my funeral. I absolutely love it. It makes me cry and grin and dance all at once. The most beautiful lyrics. I love music and this is just a perfect way to say goodbye. I’m sad that you lost your brother. I lost my sister 3 years ago. Taken far too young in a car crash. We played “sweet child o mine” at her funeral. Couldn’t listen to it for a long time afterwards. Live your life and love those around you because it can all be taken away so quickly 💖 💫

Kirsty D it will be at mine one day too, has always been my favourite song
This song is very personal to me as it reminds me of my late sister. We used to listen to it together, as we were children of the 80's. Lines like "although you're miles and miles away, I see you every day" and "We'll always be together no matter how far it seems" sound really apt to me. It's a celebratory and positive song because the people we love are always with us. People die, but the relationship never dies. And you never stop missing the people you love. Also, I really like how in the movie 'Electric Dreams' (this song is from that soundtrack) the computer makes all the radio stations play this song all at once to say goodbye. As if the whole world is affected simultaneously if only for a small amount of time to the same feeling. Maybe when people die, the people who love them all feel it in subtle and small ways simultaneously without even knowing that the person is gone. At any rate, we're all connected, I'm sure of that.

@J2B well, our generation's music is very variable, it's either good, or total shite, with nothing in between. Especially since shite like diss-tracks and violent rap are corrupting the newer generation and glorifying horrible stuff, and modern music is overly predictable and boring, 80's stuff is so much more refreshing and calm, it's safe, and it resonates with me more than any shitty modern song ever could

Love this song, also the movie "Electric Dreams" such a hit to my teenage days.
It shows that we really connect with music and it's a bond forged forever... people will remember the songs from a movie, long after memories of the movie have faded.
