I am very happy that you are enjoying some Bulgarian food 😊 I would only like to note that the Banitsa is not filled with feta. The filling is made from Bulgarian brined white cheese. It's different in taste and consistency to feta.

5:47 Those things were dangerous, people complained and they replaced them with more appropriate ones. They use to separate the tram from the pedestrian zone.

Usually they don't put enough cheese in the banitsa but it is delicious. Going to make some now. Ps: it is Bulgarian version of feta but better. The eeran is a great drink to have with it too. Good food cheap all day long. Enjoy!

Great video guys, but a little correction: banitsa isn’t a pastry and we don’t use feta for it, we use a special type of Bulgarian cheese witch is different from feta. Think of it as the thing your Bulgarian mom would make you for breakfast. Banitsa is the ultimate Bulgarian breakfast so that’s probably why there were that many people at the morning.

Banitza is usually eaten in Bulgaria with bosa(sweet drink made from burgur).Everything is very tasty in Bulgaria.My mouth is watery now,I have not eaten Bulgarian food for years.

Banitsa and Mekitsa are the best good choice for breakfast in Bulgaria, I love them! You can have Banitsa together with Airian or Bosa!😉 For lunch you did very good choice to have it in the locals with homemade food - it is usually very good and cheaper way to have it! 👍

If you're still in Bulgaria you need to go to a "Mehana" for traditional food and music. There are a few of them in every town and best to go later in the day or evening. Glad you tried the banitsa, which is like religion in Bulgaria.

You must to try liutenitca(something like the Indian chutney). We eat it on bread with traditional Bulgarian cheese. Its typical Bulgarian dish. 🇧🇬❤️🌹
