Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure Review by T1E2H3
Almost a year late. Wow. Anyway, here are my thoughts on this before I do my Great Race Review. I know I said September 5th in the video but it might be a little later. Anyway, enjoy!

Man, I'll miss Arc. Those beautiful scenes on the narrow gauge viaduct, fixing Thomas' face to not look drunk... The memories...
I remember I was jumping with joy when I saw this movie, because I was so freaking glad that they put the Arlesdale Engines in the TV show

Sir Topham Hatt yelled at Thomas because he thought he was trying to kill Ryan, and he was upset with the delays caused by Thomas's actions. Maybe if Thomas had said something different instead of "It's not my fault", maybe he would have listened to him. That accident WAS Thomas's fault, but he still did not want to admit he was in the wrong. But at the end, he finally got the common sense in him and apologized, admitting he was at fault.

@C&D Shabs What would've been better is before STH can unload on Thomas, Ryan could say "Sir! Thomas saved us!!". Then the Fat Controller could've been caught off guard, Ryan could quickly explain the situation. Howevever Thomas would cut Ryan off and say to STH, "No sir! It was my fault! I completely forgot to warn Ryan about the bad coal! We lost the dynamite because of me!". However while he prepares for the worst, the Fat Controller would be firm but understanding and say "It is a shame we lost the dynamite, but I'd rather that be the case, than have Ryan go up in smoke had you not acted quickly, Thomas. Well done.". However Thomas wouldn't feel so useful since he did still cause a third delay and maybe later, the Fat Controller would notice Thomas feeling worthless because of his own ignorance and try to reason with him, and assure him that while yeah he was cheeky, he is also a dedicated worker and NEVER had any mallicious intent behind his cheekiness.

Here is how I would rewrite the aftermath of the dynamite chase scene in Thomas and Friends: Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure: Fat Controller: Thomas the Tank Engine!!!! What is going on here? I thought you promised you would be more responsible at the work yard! Thomas: Sir Toptom Hat! It is not what it looks like, you see- Fat Controller: No! I have heard enough of your silly excuses! Now go back to your shed, and I expect you to stay there for the rest of the afternoon! And the rest of you, get back to work! And no excuses either! Nick Wilde: No! Fat Controller: What? Who said that? Nick Wilde: Me, Nick Wilde the red fox. Thomas: A talking fox? What is he doing here on Sodor? Nick Wilde: It’s a long story, I will explain it later, and what I said was no, Thomas won’t be going to his shed and staying there for the rest of the afternoon, look, what you are doing isn’t fair to Thomas! It’s mean! It’s strict, not friendly! And doing what a strict parent would do to their misbehaving child who actually isn’t misbehaving at all but in reality is a hero! (Nick stands up to the Fat Controller and gives him The Reason You Suck Speech)
I think the reason Marion was included as a main part of the film was due to the fact that Olivia Coleman is apparently a big actress.
the role Ryan played in the movie is the same as Stanley yes but his character traits are different Ryan is the engine that wants to be brave and help others but sometimes he can not just bring himself out to do it but has a great sense of humor Stanley is cocky cool and cheery he is also the boy next door which is saying he is popular to the engines nice thoughts on
I suppose the chase is a tribute to Magic Railroad because of Pt boomer removed from the directors cut
16:10 was the worst part of the movie

Can you blame STH for acting that way after Thomas kept repeating his mistakes and not owning up to them? It's like he never learned a thing, especially after the 'Who's Geoffrey?' incident. Guess STH thought he had to be a bit more strict to make sure Thomas actually learned his lesson this time.
also you fergot to mention that the Rev W Awdry appeard twice on the speacial! by the way, great review!:);)
As a kid, I actually thought about both Olivers (Engine and Excavator) appearing on screen simultaneously way before this movie.

'Never Look a Little Engine' was like a drug trip to me.
I love the detail they put into Ryan's model. The riveting is stunning! And the thing that I like the most is that they actually put that area under the boiler that you can see through. The engines that don't have that (ex: Gordon or edward) just look funny to me. And could you imagine Thomas with rivets!
It's really cool that Sailor John was the main human villain we finally got to see in a Thomas And Friends film the first being PT Boomer who was going to be the main villain of Thomas And The Magic Railroad but didn't make it into the final cut because of some stupid test viewers thought he was too scary for little kids
I've especially admit that I personally love this movie since it introduced new characters as well as bringing back several characters we haven't seen in a while like the Scottish twins, a pair of excavators along with the cameo of a pair of dump trucks, and especially a certain diesel railcar who's claimed to be highly sprung named Daisy! In fact, I personally saw this movie on my fire stick as it's featured in the content while having 3 languages that only happens to be English, Espanol, and especially Portuguese: a language spoken in Portugal as well as in Brazil!
I like the addition of Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Toad and the small engines appearing in a special but I'm not too found of Ryan as he is just a combination of Stepney, Arthur and Stanley and I prefer Daisy working on Thomas' branch line as she gives his branch line a balance. I do like Daisy's Seasons 20-21 episodes, but they could have worked on Thomas' branch line just as well. In my Thomas universe Sheffield and Barry run the Harwick line instead of Ryan/Daisy and Daisy remains on the Ffarquhar line. But I do like the special for the Sailor John and Skiff sub plot.
RIP John hurt
Worth it staying up late.
I loved this part 4:20
Why is there so little comments
The fat controller was rude to Thomas Edit: when you were talking about Ryan not being boastful, there is a theory that Ryan could’ve been boastful judging by the merch saying something about him being boastful

Think about how much would be changed, the faces could change or even the whistles might change,
I think you obviously forgot that Gordon still has the "tender engines don't shunt" nonsense due to Andrew overlooking that fact in the movie, I mean, Gordon still has it in the movie even after Season 1 ended, I mean, think about it, has he ever mentioned that stupid philosophy? Come on, has Gordon even learned his lesson!? I think not. think back, in the later stories of the RWS, Gordon seems to have abandoned that damn philosophy, and acts his age for crying out loud! Even with the exception of The Adventure Begins, he's never mentioned it and he still refuses to pull freight trains, and Sir Topham Hatt being a little harsh? Sir Topham Hatt was VERY harsh and arrogant towards Thomas, What I'm saying isn't really harsh but it is the truth, I think both Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt learned a valuable lesson at the end of the movie, and Thomas has two for some reason (and it ain't even the third one), 1. never trust people with evil intentions. 2. always be responsible for your actions. For Sir Topham Hatt, it's that you should never let the greed and arrogance get the better of you, i mean It's obvious that he was instantly regretting what he said to Thomas, and almost let his greed get the better of him, I think he should have punished Gordon for being arrogant. That's what I think was what should be in the review, but yes, I agree with Thomas being cheeky, remember, Thomas was cheeky in Not So Slow Coaches, and that episode was an example of him being cheeky, I think some of us have forgotten that more than others who haven't. That's what I thought of the review, so I decided to expand upon it because you were pressed for time. I understand you're busy, and so am I, I'll leave you to do your thing.
Nick jr own Thomas and friends and it aired on that channel seasons 1-13
I just realised something. The little engines in the thumbnail are running without their drivers. Does this mean that in the CGI TV series, the engines are capable to move on their own but just have drivers for safety?
I've only seen this film once and I'm never gonna watch it again for obvious reasons, this was such a terrible way of celebrating Thomas's 70th anniversary despite the fact that he didn't actually appear until 1946 when the 2nd book was released.
I was surprised to see Donald and Douglas in the show!!!

Interesting thoughts in this special. When I first saw it I was amazed at how much Thomas the Tank Engine took risks escially from how it was handled about 5 or 6 years before. Seeing Rex, Bert and Mike in the special was a real treat and their song Never Overlook a Little Engine reminded me of a Disney film like in Aladdin or Lion King. I wish Daisy had more to do rather than appearing at the end considering how underused she was. But I love this special and its given me high hopes for Thomas's future.
September 7th is the date to when The Great Race is released in the UK, September 5th is when Season 20 will start airing.
Don't forget that the Thin Clergyman was in the special as well.
you deserve more subs for what you do
Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll get used to the change of Daisy working on the Harwick Branch Line, I certainly did.
Would you ever do a review of season 20 episodes as of now? It's some good stuff I think, but I'm interested in your opinion
Thomas 1 Edward 2 Henry 3 are you going to upload the great race soon please ?
So cool
well on the great race
Hey man great review as always sometime you and I should sit down and just talk over Skype I think you and I would have a lot to talk about XD
I am going to build 15 in gauge live steam at a Museum. MUCH bigger than one would think! not fun :P The loco is going to be a 2-8-2 Jock and it's all going to be a plantation size, so not to scale at all. The rolling stock is huge!
that's fantastic
Can you do a review on journey beyond sodor
What About Henry Subplot In This Movie & I also wonder About Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Toad, Aresdale Railway in Season 20 There's a Reason for Thomas to Hate Stanley
Am I the only one who thinks that Brenner is going a little overboard with the "little engines can do big things" sorta message? Like come on dude, leave the magic railroad in America. Please.

+ironmatic 1 basically, yeah. I mean when have you ever seen an E2 tank engine pulling an inter-city commuter express? They don't. Quite frankly they don't even exist any more but hey ho, them' the blows. I mean sure, Thomas has his branch line, but that was basically his purpose, small suburban routes. It's just as Percy's is shunting, Ryan's is slow goods, et cetera. I get the message, yeah, it's a good one. But in a show about trains, are you sure it really even fits here? I mean, think of it this way: "Little engines can do big things!" Thomas exclaimed, as his pressure built and he nearly exploded whilst trying to pull the express. "I'm a big strong engine!" Gordon shouted, as he clanked off the rails in the shunting yards because the track's radius was too small. Doesn't really work does it?

Tai Yagami lol Your story at the end is funny. I personally think if Thomas was simply given a larger coal bunker things would be much more realistic, he could go longer distances whilst looking somewhat realistic. Sense the e2s were designed for heavy switching and hauling around the yard, an e2 with a larger bunker would probably work out very well in real life.
it was like an acid trip
