I got mine from the kids for Christmas and wish i'd watched your video BEFORE i tried experimenting. I added some cranberry juice to my filtered water before carbonating (3 pumps on the Terra). It seemed to work fine until I disconnected the bottle and sprayed carbonated cranberry water all over my kitchen. Seriously, it went everywhere, including ceiling, cabinets, behind the stove, across the countertop and into the drawers, then on the floor. Add your juice AFTER carbonating.

This model requires the smaller tanks. I liked the older model that used the larger tanks for about the same money. I have to exchange these more often and I don’t see any difference in the quality of the seltzer with the newer Terra model. I love that I can use the same bottles over again and I don’t add to the polution of the planet.

This device is fantastic. So far, It is clearly so simple and reasonable to use. Very economical. Very practical if you like making your own various home flavored seltzer beverages both soft and adult types. Have not had to exchange CO2 cartridge yet we will see how that goes when it runs out.

One note is to make sure and pick up the refill tanks with the PINK labeling or it won't be compatible with the TERRA. Also, I've had mine for a few days now and the bottles lock into place sort of loosely. Is that normal? It seems like some CO2 is being wasted by leaking out the sides with every pump.

Just bought the Terra for my parents for the holidays. Following the instructions to a T, we still cannot get the unit to carbonate, even with chilled water. Unless we're doing something so dumb and obvious, maybe we got a bad unit? The tank is definitely getting use as it's quite cold to the touch, but bubbles just ain't there.

If you refill your CO2 cannisters at home, the Terra is a BUST. No adapters are currently available for new quick-attach CO2 fitting. Better to go with the FIZZI, which uses the ubiquitous screw-on CO2 canisters, and also has the quick-attach system for the water bottles - best of all possible worlds. The new quick attach CO2 bottles smell like a Sodastream cash grab. No real reason for it, other than trying to lock out home CO2 refillers and ensure a a continuing, bloated revenue stream from GROSSLY overpriced refills; they charge ~$15 for an exchange; 1 pound of bulk CO2 costs about $0.30.

It can make up to 60litres, depending on how fizzy you make it. So since most bottles are 1litre, you can make up to 60 bottles worth. Some bottles are 500ml though, which is a great alternative if you live alone like me, so you could make up to 120 bottles worth with that size.

I'm a complete idiot. I removed the plastic wrap from the candidates but didn't remove the cap when installing. I was surprised how hard it was to close the lever, but figured with pressurized items, you might need some elbow grease. It popped hard and then I realized I did something wrong. Now I'm worried to remove the canister in case something is damaged and it blows up. Suggestions? Did I break the sodastream? Any explosion worries? I can't believe how dumb I am....

This is not really very money efficient where i come from you can get good tasting carbonated water for 19 cents for 1.5L. And with the mashine costing 100dollars and the CO2 bottle costing 25 dollars each it's hard to justify it. And not only that most of the carbonated waters in my area are self carbonated spring water which also contain a lot of minerals which weren't added. And the problem with using water out of your faucet is that it has no minerals and in some cases is even dirtier than we could imagine depending on where you live in the world. That's additional cost again if you were to install an additional filter into your faucet/water supply. The only case you could make for it is the convenience of not buying and transporting the water and making it quick and easy at home, but in my opinion the cons greatly outweigh the pros but that may very from person to person

Guess it depends on the area. Where I live it's expensive to get what we call club soda. It's plain carbonated water. And the bottle is so small and costs 20rs (In American currency it's around 2$ I think. And it's less than a 400ml bottle). As such this would be great for where I live. We don't have spring water or anything. We mostly have water filters like Aquasure for safe drinking water. But yes I agree the CO2 bottles are damn expensive. But food-grade dry ice is super cheap and I have seen YT vids of ppl filling the CO2 containers with dry ice. But honestly, the equipment is 100$ And most ppl in India can't afford it for freaking soda. We don't have a big soda culture either. We mostly just drink regular water. Cause we have a rice culture and roti culture (Roti is made from whole wheat which is healthy unlike AP flour) unlike bread, which mostly requires soda to digest faster.
