Super clear explanation of this process - thank you!! Do you know if I can do the soda ash soak and leave the garment overnight before dying the next day? I want to prep all the garments night before and stick them in baggies...

Do you allow the fabric to dry after the bath or do you rinse first before dyeing?

You can let the fabric dry or dye it damp but do not rinse out the soda ash before you dye.
