UPDATE: Will continue to update this post as we learn more daily. You'll want to use Lightning bolt over chain lightning in most cases. Also consider WF/WF instead of WF/FT. Seems to be strong scaling with runes at the moment.

I like the video format, but as other people pointed out a lot of the info is wrong. The icy veins and wowhead guides are not the best to say the least. The class discords got the best information. But here is some basic points for Ehn in P3: - 2H is dead, I won't comment anymore, all the other points are for DW - The spec is good, if you got a druid in your group with Wild Strikes, you can take the 2 points out of Imp Weapon Totems and put them into Convection. - Run WF-WF, WF-FT is a bit worse, and the gap grows as you gear up. - Lightning bolt is better than Chain Lighting if you have more than 270 Spell Power (which with Mental Dex you should with Battle shout and Str totem) - Use Chain lightning for cleave (obvious) - if you are running double WF, the prio is: Malestrom (5 stack) > Storm strike (more malestrom procs) > shocks (earth if flame shock has the dot on still, even if there is only like 3s left on the dot, use earth) > Lava lash. - Use you 5 stack Malestrom as often as possible - If you have less than 270 SP and are running double WF, I would recommend to just use Lightning Bolt, even if it is worse because you don't need to think about what you need to press LB or CL, just press LB and done. - If you got FT on OH, Lava Lash > shocks - Keep searing totem and lightning shield up - Runes are right, run overcharged on eranikus for the AoE - You need to thing about the Damage Per GCD you are using, so if the fight has less than 50s left don't use searing, you probably have a better ability to spend the GCD on

Looks like LB over CL as well as running WF/WF seems to be the play. I think most other things in the guide are accurate outside of that. Thanks for this help info!

What's the point of flame shock in current phase? I havent tested it, but from the tooltip it seems earth shock does more damage, because it's 2 ranks higher than flame shock.

Also why Earth Shock over Frost Shock which deals more damage than Earth and doesn't have the threat generation?

Maybe other's, are getting different results but I have tested Overcharge vs Static post nerf and Overcharge still triggers for more damage than Static by quite a bit even on the 3 sec Nerf?

Test over several hours on players, and Mobs ratio is still avg like 7-2 per fight in favor of overcharge

Does overcharge proc from any damage u receive like aoe?

why isnt overcharged better than static shock? you do'nt have to renew it and it procs every second. there were some fights where 10-15 secs went by and only 3-4 charges went off

With statcic shcok, you dont have to get hit to deal dmg. Your attacks triggers lightnings

So flametongue off hand is better then? I keep getting conflicting opinions alot think rock biter is better as offhand but I figured it'd be flame since they buffed lava

Since the severe nerve of rockbiter, i run wizh WF/FT. Tested WF/WF, WF/FT is just superior. But need to test spellhance build (21/20) seems superior.

Rotation is off like many things on zockify. Maelstrom should be nr1, flame shock 4

I clicked this video to see how bad the guide was going to be and it took like 5 seconds for me to ask the question, "does this guy even play shaman?" So I looked at the channel and there is a guide for every class and spec so the answer is no. Just so everyone knows, icy veins and wowhead guides are wrong/bad info in almost all cases for all classes. You wont get great info there and basing a youtube video off that info wont make it any better.

Hey man sorry you didn't enjoy the video! If you have any tips here that were missed feel free to add. I make nothing from these videos and I do this in my spare time to help others. I feel confident that this guide is at least 95% accurate, and it was also labeled as a beginners guide to get people up and running. It's not meant for top parses which is why it's labeled as a beginners guide. I will do better to preface this in the intro. Thanks for watching!

@@RealmGamingWoW I'm not trying to deter from making the videos, I know how time consuming it is and when you're making them for a small audience it can feel very unrewarding at times. So keep it up. I have a lot of respect for small creators. But guides based on information from sites like wowhead or icyveins can be misleading. An example in your guide is you said to keep flame shock up, you would never do this. It does less damage over 12 seconds than earth shock does in its one hit, earth shock crits for over 1k at level 50 and half of flame shocks damage is a dot that can't crit. Flame Shock is far and away worse than earth shock and you should never cast it. Enhance shaman will only start using flame shock when we get the 3 piece set bonus from Sunken Temple and even then it will only be one cast at the start of the fight to build the stacking buff faster. Then lava lash will maintain the buff the rest of the fight. I know all the guides out there say to keep flame shock up, they are all wrong. Because the people writing those guides don't play the class, and if they do they are bad. This is true for all classes and specs not just shaman. Sorry for being so harsh earlier, I tend to take the shaman stuff a bit personally when I shouldn't.

@@andydudley1249 I mean, ST isn't exactly mythic content, large numbers of people have cleared it. I cleared it day 3. It's not exactly what I would call a good estimation of skill. But this is classic that's kind of the point. I had an 18th world parse on thermaplug in gnomer, that's not skill either. All it does is show I had decent prep and understand my class. The content is easy and takes very little skill. I wont put a % of how correct I feel this guide is. He should have tried to find high end players and done research by picking their brain on the class, similar to how preach used to do for retail on his class guides before he quit making them. People love talking about wow, plenty of them would give you a few minutes to answer a question or two.

5% mana increaze is absolutely garbage. Get the shield perks for some survivability.
