Looking at the sims, It seems that Immolation Aura + Immolate actually does more DPS than Unstable Affliction (Small difference, but Immolate benefitting from Ruin while UA doesnt makes a big difference)

immolate and UA cant be on the target at the same time ...

Wait - Immolate does more DMG than UA?!? I guess the Destro Talents buff Immolate? Still feels really shitty that our crowning glory Afflic talent is rendered 100% pointless.

Can't compete with destro even with affliction buffs don't even try it

6:37 I think you may be underestimating everlasting affliction. It's a MASSIVE mana saver over the course of long fights. In a 5 minute fight it saves you casting corruption TWENTY times, which saves you 20 GCDs and 4500 mana.

Might be a point if you have another lock doing pact. Since most locks do destro, u need to have it as affli. So no EA anyways.

Also does immo take prio over unstable affliction because Ruin crits? heard you can snapshot it like crazy with that +30% crit rune

I'm not aware of anyone who has confirmed that. Maybe a giga-chad warlock can confirm that for us. UA was actually pretty bad when data mined, I'm not sure if it was changed at all. Also, UA doesn't scale with much of the AFF tree, so immolate might actually be better. Has anyone tried invocation over grimoire of sinergy? If timed well, it can result in big dmg

Nice job tho I would change demonic pact for everlasting affliction and with the way the boss fights are looking I think demonic tactics is the way to go because it doesn't look like you will be able to keep up master channeler 100% of the time imo but talent build is def the way to go

shadowbolt is not effected by Haunt

Haunt does not affect shadow bolt damage nor does it currently (bugged) affect unstable affliction. The tooltip says it only affects periodic damage, not all shadow damage.

Are the affliction playing the same build in this vidéo ?

With shadow priest pets should you just run curse of agony if you have another lock in raid using elements? Recklessness is from the priest minions

Not necessary with a shadow priest's new eyeball pet. Gives a 10% shadow damage buff

We might even see some corruption snapshot play this phase too once we get the trinkets and gear I was seeing

Because it's better. 8000 effective health through blood pact for your raid is invaluable.

Everything I'm seeing on warcraft logs is imp still. What logs are you referring to? Top 5 logs world right now are all running imp still. The only way felguard does more damage than imp right now is if you put points into demo, which would of course reduce your overall dmg.

Guys, don't raid as affliction. It's absolute garbage. Also, Felguard drastically outperforms Imp, even with Imp talents. This might change when they buff Life Tap this coming week, but it'll still be worth testing.

Was ST yesterday and played nightfall/ruin build. First 2 bosses my runes were pandemic/demonic tactics/demonic impact/haunt/UA/demonic knowledge and the dmg was not that great. About 350-400 dps. then i swapped demonic impact for evelasting affliction and did on par with the shadow priest in our grp doing 450-500+. The poblem here is to sacrifice the dmg from you party into yours. If everybody does good dmg, i think swapping runes there is fine then. fights are long and you dont have to rerfresh corruption its a huge + there.

@@Urteilsdrache I’ve been playing around with a few builds as well.. even going down to siphon and taking the 5/5 shadow damage skills. I’ll try everlasting as soon as I get it. I even want to try soul siphon for pump n dump fights with everlasting just to see.
