The 2022 US Open runs from August 23 - September 11 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 142nd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Daniil Medvedev is the men’s singles reigning champion and Emma Raducanu is the women’s singles reigning champion. Last year, both players claimed their first Grand Slam title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. This year’s tournament is set to feature a range of greats and future stars looking to add to their records and cement their place in tennis history. I like watching Fernandez who's always upbeat with high fighting spirit. She may consider concentrating more on doubles as she seems lacking the power to advance further in singles.

Didn't know Tsitsipas played mixed doubles...
Fernandez is a great singles player, but not great at the net. Sock and Dabrowski would be pretty amazing. Still, great tennis.

You're right. It has been like this for a while now at some tournaments. The Hawkeye system can do pretty much anything. I don't like it either, I think it's boring and makes the game and the feel of the tournament a little robotic. The nervousness of a challenge and the spectators not being sure, it brought an extra element of tension. Also, all the line judges are out of a job. They gave hand-signals as well, which is nice because sometimes you can't hear the 'out'.

@@kabayanhustler okay well to each their own I guess. But sometimes the spectator and even the players can't hear the calls it seems, and you see some confusion. I hope those linejudges were offered other functions
