i am 62 and some.. been playing for decades..my best advice., go...get a guitar and an amp, or just a guitar..learn how to play it, reach out to others...play together...start a band..fail, learn, succeed!!... ...wash, rinse repeat..and you will NEVER regret it!... i am gearing up for my next live and i am ancient, dudes and dudettess!.....>go forth and be awesome!!!....wish me luck!

33. I started a band and helped me trough depression, made friends for life, recorded shit, visited new cities and ended on a high. And still looking to make some noise. Best advice, go pick a guitar a rock the world!

Truth. Learning a musical instrument is the only skills based learning science has evidence for that builds/fosters connectivity between brain hemispheres. Painting, math, programming, cooking? Nope. Really "one sided" brain activities. There's a wild natural *high* from playing instruments.

They've recently moved into my top 5 of all time. I listened as a kid...listened as a teenager...listened as a young adult...and now listen at 36....timeless band that never gets old with such great songs. They deserve a place in my top 5.

Great song. Like everything else no its not a song about racism/hatred, global warming dogma, gay promotion, pc speech, and so on. I was a punk b4 social d. It was about come as u are its cool, attainable music, and being in your face. When I heard Mike punched a guy for disagreeing w him on politics I lost some respect. He is great no doubt. Funny my wife is an immigrant from Mexico but I guess if I question the current dogma im a racist. I played 2ndvguitarvforva very famous blues man. My fault he kicked me off the bus in East Oakland at 3am as I was doing lines of coke. AK's rule no drugs. Sorry but the present extreme left right as of late reminds me of 30's Europe. The left goes more left so the right moves farther right. W/o bolshivisem there would not have been the Nathan Socialists. What happened to at least listening to the other side an finding some common ground??? Now we have anti fascists who are the ones acting fascist. Everything gets turned around for sake of ranting about an illogical agenda that is race and class based. Great Stalin and Hitler rolled into one. I saw it coming when a 6th grade teacher told me that I had a closed mind since I wondered how teaching 5 +8=14. No it does not. It equals 12.unless u are allowed to make up rules to fit the desired result. I believe Orwell and Huxley both described the evil future utopia where 2+2=5. The government can't cure these social ills we can. I talk to someone before I make an out of hand judgment of say being smart or stupid. Both charaistics cross racial boundaries. And some groups value education and some don't. Many Mexican families out of necessity and/or machismo don't value education as much as say white families. I could give 10 to 30 real life examples but I want to listen to music then play some guitar. The new progressives are bs repackaging same old stuff. Socialism just wasn't done right but this time it will work. Wtf. Enjoy the music and dont overread into every song.

Call it punk or not. Don't care, I don't. It's great. In my Top Ten band all-time faves, which includes The Clash, The Who, and The Stones, I'll just call it great fucking rock n roll. Timeless. Hard-edged and wholly heart-tugging simultaneously, Ness's writing has drawn the acknowledgment of the best kind--peer inclusion. Dylan and Springsteen amongst others have shared their stage and/or covered songs written by Mike. Brilliant.

Saw them in Westbrook, Maine back in August of 2019. I got right up in the front row. Stepped right in front of a drunk asshole who was shoving people around to get to the front. Got some awesome pictures of Mike. I actually have 3 of them framed on my wall.
