Bro ... I'm using Sobo w1000f internal power filter in 2 feet aquarium. I've fitted a spray bar of almost 2 ft long and removed air sucking tube which is put out of aquarium. The spray bar is working fantastically and there's sufficient Air bubbling and water movement in the tank. My question to you is to whether still I should use an air pump for oxygen supply in the tank ?

spray bar is enough, no need to use an air pump. All we need is some water movement on the top for which the spray bar should be enough. All the best with your tank.

just using the sponge is alright. bio ball will do the same thing the sponge was doing. its just that we can do that as an option. however adding the ceramic rings will increase the surface area and will increase the bacteria colony in the filter.

yes. flow might be a problem for a 50 litre tank. but, you can put the filter in a container; make some holes in the container this should keep the flow in the container itself but still filter the water. Or you can get a HOB filter or a a big sponge filter for your tank .

Can it happen that the strength of a power head filter break or damage the aquarium glass where it has been stuck? Did anyone ever heard of it? Plz reply

bacteria is already in you tank with filter bacteria population will increase. You don't have to add anything. just keep the filter running,

Great video. Thanks. I just got an aquarium and it came with this filter. After installing it, it doesnt give air bubble. When i remove it from the water and place it back, it gives bubbles for a few seconds and then stops. Please what could be the issue?

this creates air bubbles itself, so you don't need an air pump for that. However, if you want to run aquarium accessories like aquarium toys then you will need an air pump for that.

Is this an oxygenator also... Or do I need to attached a seperate air pump?

Thank you. Quality is good. and in my experience they can easily last 3 years or more, Depending upon your use and maintenance(if you clean your filter or not).

NO. But if you want to run aquarium accessories or toys that run on air then you will need an air pump.

if you are using this type of filters then you don't need an air pump. secondly, yes, this type of filters are not good for small tanks.

there may be a break in the wire somewhere. Tank the pump out is you can see the break use some super glue to close the naked wire. wear shoes or slippers, before putting your hand in the water, you can also stand on a carpet. Don't put your hand in water barefoot especially when you feel current leak in your tank.

yes, you can. But, it will also depend on the number of fish you have and how much you feed. So, if you have more fish and feed more then you may need to increase the filtration.

White pipe is for making bubbles in the tank. But, the filter will work even without the white pipe.

But i kept the opening for that pipe open without pipe ..so will it damage my filter...there was no cap on the opening...it was in water for 5 mins.....and my next question is i used filter for 5 min just for testing and removed it and kept it in the box as it was wet...so will it catch any fungus..

@@satya2948 it will not damage the filter if you don't put the cap on the filter. Even without the cap the filter will work normally without any problem. 2nd, The filter will not catch any fungus but its better to dry the filter before you put it in a box or store it because the fan axle is made of metal it may rust a little if you leave the wet filter in the air.

the filter comes with suction cups which sticks to your aquarium glass however you can also stick the filter on plastic but it may come loose easily on plastic. Also depend on the type of plastic you are talking about.

@@muttuupendra9775 No, check valve is not needed. Because the airline tube that comes with the filter is not very long. At least i have never seen water siphoning back out from the airline tube when the tube is connected to the internal filter.

@@muttuupendra9775 Cycling is basically buildup of enough nitrifying bacteria in your tank so that your tank can support fish life. Even if you don't use any filter the tank walls will be colonized with the bacteria. If you add the filter you filter will get cycled as well. It can take upto a week or more. depending on the temperature, water quality
