Anyone interested Details are in my name Great Video thanks
What a treat as a fish nerd to see actual materials from that biotope! Thanks so much for sharing it. Def. going to subscribe to his channel.
Mark sent me a shirt from that place. Now i need to visit in person. You cant help but love those fish.
I Love the passion he has for the African cichlids. 😇😇😇👊

Cichlids are not my thing, but if I lived near that store that would probably change. His passion is incredible.

Man I wish we had a fish store like this near me! Nothing even close within a 100 plus mile radius of me. Been dying for some Shellys in my 40 long bedroom tank. Great video as always bud! 🤙🏾

I was recently in Los Angeles back in the old hood and there used to be huge numbers of fish stores, and they're GONE. We have more fish stores in Vancouver, BC than the entire LA area. Our club has several thousand members, and while it's mainly white and asian guys, I'm still scratching my head that LA is so slow now.
i'm glad you got the similis i love mine so fun to watch and i have about 30 babys with one pair in about 4-6 months :D
Great video! Dave Hale is an amazing person who’s done a lot for the hobby. That’s awesome that you are keeping Tanganyikans. Dave is 100% correct “You’re Hooked”. Multies are the gateway Shellie. I they were my first Shellies too, now I have about 9 different variants of them. Enjoy!!!
Timely video i got some multis today here in Australia

Tangs are my favourite fish to keep, shellies are the only ones I want to try out still
That's it! I'm working on that fan tail ocellatus! Dave's a great guy. I had fun touring his store when I was there.

My first aquarium was a Lake Tanganyikan one. I miss it! Always dreamed of diving there. Love the video!
I am working on more tanks but first I am going to need more support on youtube to pull off the big fishroom idea that I have.
Holy crap! How weird! I just discovered your channel and the second video clicked was this one. Something fishy is my LFS! Live right down the street from them. So lucky to have them so close by.

Oh this is incredible sounds like me talking about shell dwellers truly incredible video Ill have to show him my 280g once its setup in a few months just for shell dwellers I want the shells so bad
Multies ard on my bucket list for sure. 👍💕👍
I love this video. I'm planning to get shell dwellers, not sure which ones yet.
GREAT Video I keep Signatus love them we also have a small group Similas
The natural shells look like giant Malaysian Trumpet snails. For the price and size you really can't beat the Amazon Escargot shells. They do look really nice in a tank.
Great video! I love shell dwellers and agree 100% with Dave at 8:26
Loved this video💕👍
Amazing video man!

Multies definitely on my MTS list
Another great video. Keep it up Sashimi Whiskey!
I keep 10 Multis in my 260 gallon community tank. They have taken over one end of the tank and defend their territory against some pretty aggressive fish. I haven't seen breeding yet but I am sure it is only a matter of time.
Brilliant interview, amazing store, stunning fish. Definitely have to get some of this video footage on KZread 🤓

I am working on a bigger fishroom partly for these guys I may need more channel support first however and I have to work on my reef tank more first.
Hey Jimmy, you're getting into the Africans, let's go! I've got a 55g Lake Tanganyika Biotope too! It's got 40 Multifasciatus that started from a group of 6, and tankmates are 3 Lake Tanganyika Killifish (look them, they're so cool and so rare so if you see them, snatch them up) but they're starting to get blue and yellow so I'm really excited. I dont run Crushed Coral (although I probably should because Washington Water is so soft) but they've been thriving. Another Great Video! And since you're using the 108, I'm guessing the goldfish got traded or died :(
@zafishguy5166

Except for the killies if the multifsciatus are breeding then your good with softer water apparently
So, that small shell with the neat hole reminds me of similar holes in seashells made by various other mollusk predators... Are there freshwater snails drilling in shells as well?
"He's hoarding his footage." "it'll come" hhahaha
Very nice video. Beautiful cichlids. I wish you good luck, my friend.

So, I'll soon be getting a used 55 gallon tank from one of my brothers. I was thinking about doing a South American biotope with apistos, tetras, etc. Now I'm thinking I should maybe to do a Lake Tanganyika tank instead. My tap water is at about 7.8 pH and 240-300 TDS. It wouldn't take much to get my water to 8.0 pH. Probably a lot easier than going the other direction. Please do an update with your tank, once it's all set up!
I wish these types of fish were available in my country
My Gold Calvus breed in shells all the time. I got a pair that breed like convicts I got Gold Calvus in all of my tanks and even gave some away because I have so many LOL.
can i keep a species of Shell dwellers with red shrimp? and are there shelle dwellers that i can keep in a 15 gallon? i always like your video's Jimmy and i am from Holland btw
Really! You have never kept tanginka and you are friends with zenzo tazawa and jason from prime time aquatics! 2 of the biggist african cichlid lovers on earth!!! Ive never kept tanginikans but im really wanting to do one!
new sub here passing by looking looking forward to new videos
Last time I saw a powdery substance on a piece of paper like that, it definitely wasn't sand! At this point, I'd rather have authentic tanganyikan sand, more than other stuff! ❄️❄️❄️lmao!
Dave is the best.
Great video I'm new to your channel .
The real question is, how do you catch the little suckers when you need to thin the colony? My multis dash into their shells so fast, when I had to remove 2 extra males that were raising heck the shells they were in had to go too. Those shells are probably still in the pet store's tank!

GREAT VIDEO I want to keep these in a 20 long. 2 questions Aquaclear 30, Coarse sponge filter or dual sponge filter? What do you think about using black sand? I thought it would look very cool instead of the normal sand. But I haven't seen anyone using it. Peace ✌️
Half oz. Halawi sand in a baggy. Wtf is this lol...
