I've learned that South East is one of the first places speed hackers check lately when they're playing stego. They go there hoping to find AFK growing stegos. That's actually where and how I lost my last step growth, while I was hiding in some obscure corner

What Souteast/Swamps is a growing spot where theres ususally always one herbivore growing. I grew so many Stegos down there.

Yeah, Stego won’t feel anywhere near as untouchable as it does now. Once you reach like 80% as a Stego, you can basically only die if you choose to. Once Rex comes out, however, you’ll be crapping your pants even once you reach that 100% growth mark

If this is on NA 1 theres been a stego in center being incredibly aggressive for no reason. Really makes it clear how unbalanced the game is when its impossible to kill with 4 ceratos and an extra raptor pack

@@thewildheart2174 it'll be gaining new stronger attacks to deal with rexes and other upcoming apexes. So until more if the mid tier roster is added, they'll swap it to unofficials only alongside rex and trike

A decent one, absolutely. Most of them are not great though, and have relied on vomit lock too heavily up to this point.

how are the NA servers so laggy? i play on EU servers and its smooth is butter... no lagg.. no rubberbanding or what ever

They're not anymore. There was a very strange ping spike thing going on for several weeks. I'm not unconvinced that it wasn't a DDOS attack on the official servers since it was only happening to them, not to unofficials. The devs patched whatever was causing the issue though, and they now run as intended again

There was some sort of deficiency, unspecified, in the database setup. I'm still convinced it was a DDOS attack on the official servers and those deficiencies were addressed to block future attacks

Nope. NA based, playing on NA servers, at least until officials started having ping spikes. Then I switched to EU until those issues were resolved.

Truth be told, I'm a sucker for punishment and this game is the only one I've ever found that gives me the perfect mix of frustration and triumph. There's been a little extra frustration lately with the frequent bugs, but until someone else comes out with a game that has the same feel but less issues, I will continue to play the isle.

They are indeed. Unfortunately there's a lot of players out there who like to try and gain your trust just so they can kill you. Hence why I've learned to just avoid them

@@dinometta Honestly with how murder happy most stegos I’ve seen are, not surprising. I’ve seen stegos mix pack with utahs and help them hunt, actively try to hunt and kill Deinos and sit on bodies to prevent them from being eaten, etc. it’s really a shame that people will just play stego because it’s the biggest and does a lot of damage in order to pvp more than anything else.

@@Clippy111 it's true. I was a stego main back in the days of mostly passive and friendly stegos. Which is why I remain quite passive even now that so many are aggressive as heck. But I also barely play stego anymore because of how toxic they've become. It's just not worth the 5 hour growth just to be thanos snapped out of existence by a speed hacking stego with a vendetta because 6 months ago he got kos'd

@@dinometta yea. It’s the same issue I have with deinos. A lot of people play it exclusively because it’s the biggest, therefore the apex, rather than playing because they like the unique playstyle. It’s a shame, as back during legacy and in early Envirma I was so hyped for it, since I typically played sucho. Hopefully in the next major updates when rex gets added, those deinos leave, but one can only hope! Ironically though, even on the official servers a lot of times the bigger clusters of deinos at central seem to try to hunt those who try to be cannibals, which is somewhat ironic that the carnivore players who are incentivized to cannibalized tend to be less aggressive and toxic than the herbivore who doesn’t need to fight anything!

@@dinometta nah not rex, as from what we saw from dondis stream rex is gonna be insanely op, noit fitting for the game without a proper opponenet, however allo would be good, after all allos preferably hunted stegos in matched fights irl, however i can see raptors ceras and donkeys having trouble dealing with allo whos prolly gon be faster then them

Absolutely. Back in the early days of evrima, I mained stego. My fps was too low to play anything else really. But all day I would raise babies. These days it's not worth growing, I'm more likely to die to other stegos than anything else and I simply can't be bothered
