Moral of the story is to always check for the clock bolt before taking the cover thing off, got it. One time I went through a full dash disassembly only to find out not one single screw was put back and I basically wasted a half hour. That only happened once tho, I always checked after that incident. I was Salty McNalty

Metra kit is nice and definitely less expensive. I did use the JDM dash panel in my wife's 05 G35 Coupe. Like Dean said, it looks awesome. Great job guys!

Know this is an old video but @14:45 Dean says the customers power button didn't work. I just installed a maestro steering wheel control in mine and you know what the power button would not work configured for VR either and I knew my power button was functional. Seems like VR in some headunits/swi do not like mapping that to the power button. If I map other functions to power button it works just fine. So I simply had to map the VR function to something else and used the power for an alternate button as well so all my buttons still operate.

I have a 2003 infinity G35 coupe with the Bose. The AC is stuck on auto at 75 degrees and stereo controls are not working. How is the AC connected to the stereo? How is the AC in the aftermarket unit connected to stereo vs the stock unit? Where are you located?

I'm putting a Kenwood dpx502bt in my 2003 expedition. I was sold a access ASWC-1 steering wheel control. I don't have phone on my steering wheel controls stock. I assume I can place and answer calls on stereo or with remote ? Any info would be greatly appreciated thank you. Love you videos guys 👍👍

Hay i am looking at the possibility of simply cutting a bigger hole in the factory kit, would that be doable do. Head unit still screws into factory cage.

On the g35 is it just something with the dash where it becomes sticky or what because when I bought mine it was sticky as hell and I don't know what to use to get it off

Can’t wait to see Fernando’s G35 done. Please tell me it’s gonna get the JDM kit. You guys bust your hides on everyone else’s car and deserve the best you can get for your own.

What is a typical install cost going all in, but nothing show stopping. Just a simple install of a headunit, door speakers for 4 doors, rear parcel shelf speakers, a single subwoofer and the requisite amplifiers to power it all?

Hello Dean and Fernando. I saw two videos of you guys working on G35's but they were Automatic. I want to get a G35 Stick shift though but the one I can afford doesn't come with GPS Navigation System. I want to know if it's possible to change all that from not GPS from Having a GPS sliding screen?

Chucky47 Lucifer I’m no expert but I do believe you can buy the entire dash with gps not sure how much they run for but I’m not sure about that oem dash being able to fit an aftermarket stereo with out having there specific dash in this video sorry if this doesn’t provide any help to you have a good day!

Hello. I’ve been having a reoccurring problem with my pioneer deh-X3800s car stereo. I haven’t been able to find a solution as to how to fix it. When I plug my iPhone, iPod, or iPad into the usb, it plays but only for a while sometimes then it clicks off and the message “check usb” pops up on the screen. I’m not sure why it happens and it’s really annoying when I’m in the middle of jamming out to a song and it just cuts out for no good reason. Hopefully you guys see this and answer me. I’m at a complete loss as to what the problem could be. I bought it about a year ago and installed it myself and it has been a problem since day 1. Hope to hear back from you.

Riku Samche jump on pioneers website, grab the latest firmware for it and update it. I had a similar situation with my 2330nex but fw update fixed it.

i appreciate your help. however, i just tried looking on their website, and i couldn't find anything to do an update. like i said sometimes it works flawlessly, and other times it works for a certain amount of time and then i get the 'check usb' message.

@@KallitCarma it may just be the cable or if it completely stops i wouls try splicing intot the usb connector itself and replacing that
