Group Home - Livin’ Proof LP is Premier’s best production ever! He was in a complete zone that I don’t think was ever replicated. Premier is the G.O.A.T. but this LP’s production is the reason why he is the G.O.A.T. I love both Jeru/Premier LPs but this Livin’ Proof vibe is timeless. And it had two hits (Supa Star and Livin’ Proof). And ‘Tha Realness’ is the hardest Premier track EVER! Shout out to Guru and Big Jaz who also had production on this LP. Some say the rhymes were too simple in Livin Proof, and Supa Star. But I can't imagine someone doing those GH beats better justice. Group home just had the flow, the rawness, hunger, unique flair and direct stripped down to the bone street rhymes/knowledge. And with that they were the perfect added instrument to those Premier beats and vice versa. A perfect complimentary layer.

Group Home is not well known today, but back then as a DJ in Germany, my Club People where BANGIN to them Tracks! I'm glad you brought them up and reminded us how amazing your Productions are! A True Legend Dj Premier! This is REAL Hip Hop for me, where the Rappers are sharing stories they went through, and not these Trap-Rappers now-a-days! Super Star was great, and i still like the Synth on New East NY Theory! When you hear today, it still sound fresh!

After purchasing Superstar 12" in Paris while it was released, I've waited so long for the album to come. This first single was so deep and promising and I was always reading the back cover and known that the D&D, Eddy Sancho was THE HIP HOP SOUND I loved. Peace from France. I discovered Livin Proof in Switzerland the first time in the biggest hip hop group of the country at the time, Sens Unik. When the dj put the vinyl to play in the studio with a huge sound, I was amazed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for this Primo!

I'd just left the Army and came back home to Detroit in 1995. I was working at a department store in the hood that had a small music shop within it. I looked in the CD rack and saw the Group Home album. Picked it up and saw DJ Premier and Guru's names on it. Once I'd seen that I knew the album was gonna be official. I was beyond right. Shout-out DJ Premier the living legend and the entire Gang Start foundation...👍

So many incredible memories of Gangstarr and Ganagstarr Foundation! The show Ganagstarr did in the Mid 90s in the UK was the best show I have see in The Forum in Kentish Town. Me and my crew was some rowdy dudes back then.... After the show Guru came into the crowd and was hanging with us... One of my best memories of hip hop. Love you guys for that realness. Livin Proof certified classic!

I remember my 85 Cutlass Supreme with the soft interior and that deep bass that catches and it's like it has a mind of its own cause you can't hear it on headphones it has to be in a system with some thump!!! Maaannn, those were the dayz, if you read this Premo, just know you got some of us through some hard times and always kept it funky and this is from a small town just north of Tampa. Rest in Peace Guru. Thanks for inspiring so many of us. It's all about the real hip-hop 💪🏼👌🏼✊🏼

Lil Dap's rhyme's on that album truly capture a New York feel, an everyman soul, and deep values. That was one of the last album's of classic hip hop. Stories like this by Premier are what we have left. Thank you.
