So THIS Is How Wesley Snipes Ruined His Career

Ойын-сауық

There was a time when Wesley Snipes mixed his acting skills with his impressive martial arts moves to dominate the genres of comedy, action, and drama. These days, he is no longer the leading man in blockbuster films, and he wasn’t even asked to reprise his role in the reboot of Blade. Here's why.

What people don't know is that Marvel went bankrupt and in order to save itself it had to go in another direction which was the multi-hero genre. Blade was their first cinematic super-hero movie and it was a banger and is responsible for what Marvel movies have become today. "Ironically" there are claims that Iron-man was the first Marvel movie. They must really hate the fact that he rescued them because it's a lie. Look it up for yourself Wiki will give you a list of all the Marvel movies in order and it will start with Iron-man although Blade came before it. Y'all will believe anything you hear......so damn sad.

When he was 15, Snipes was in a program I ran called "Struttin' Street Stuff". Based in Orlando, the summer program was made up of kids who put on shows in the downtown part of the city. I remember when the checks to pay them came in, his was never there. Although I made out the time sheets and submitted them at the same time, his would always be a few days late. Once I gave him a ride home when his check didn't come to explain to him that I wasn't the cause of the delay and gave him a 20 dollar bill. He was always sad and hurt by the delay. I remember his sad eyes. Later on in time, I was surprised and proud to see the success that he had in film. He is also a 1983 graduate of my high school alma mater, Jones High School. He came from humble beginnings and it's not hard to see how that kind of success can make you lose yourself. Much luck in the future Wesley.. "There's one for whom we toil......."

What I don’t understand is why a person can’t speak on THEIR PERSONAL JOURNEY, without being victimized. Everyone is aloud to like or dislike what they want. People have to stop inserting themselves into situations that have nothing to do with them specifically. You’re living YOUR life and no one else’s. Let people live and speak on their own lives freely. Your feelings are irrelevant when it comes to their journey.

I am so sick of hearing that all black women are loud, overbearing, and emotionally detached from "brothers". At this point, all I could do is laugh at these sad, lost "brothers". I met Wesley's management team back in 1994. There were a lot of them and they were always squabbling with one another. They seemed very amateur. Not professional at all. Some of the team members were saying one thing while the others were saying something else. We had endless meetings with these people about a project Wesley was to star in. When I finally met Wesley, it turned out he hadn't been prepped. He knew nothing about the project. I had to pitch it to him. I found him very intelligent, even more beautiful in real life than on film, and superbly fit. I liked him a lot and almost told him my uneasiness about his team. I wanted to advise him to fire them; get a new agent, a new manager, and a new business manager. Unfortunately, I was too shy to do it. He's an exceptional actor who was very badly treated by people he was paying to manage his affairs. A similar thing happened to Robert Mitchum, and other stars.

Just hating on him. He probably started acting that way after a community turned it's back on him. You don't see that with Hispanics, Middle Easterners, or Asians. I will agree that treating people that essentially work for you the wrong way will kill your career in Hollywood. If you're a leader, you treat people with respect period. I am a pilot and very dark skinned. Black males who went through college and pilot training with me were all dating Caucasian women. Why? Because those are the women who surrounded us in college and our training locations. I don't dislike black women, but I speak like I am well educated. I act like an educated professional. High value men are going to date and probably marry women who accept them for who they are in life. I wouldn't change a thing about my life and my wife is a beautiful engineer of Pakistani descent.

@@Slick1020 I don't think the black community turned their back on him as most people don't even know about his disparaging comments towards blk women. You're very wrong about other communities turning their back. I'm not sure why blk women say things online like this. Other communities do not accept blk people nor interracial relationships as a collective. I know personally as I am a blk woman in an interracial relationship myself.

@@petitensweet08 I have lived all over the world. You're absolutely wrong about other cultures not liking black people. I've dated women of every single color. I show up to the parents home and act like I'm well educated. My degrees and career back it all up. As opposed to a Pookie showing up and hasn't achieved anything in life. I'm sorry, but the way we are depicted in Hollywood puts us in conflict with other races. Stop buying movies that depict us as thugs. Stop following gangster rappers.

He was after Jennifer Lopez, but she wasn't interested in him and he didn't talk to her the entire filming of the movie. That was a LONG time ago, but that's what type of man that he is!!! I notice a pattern here. These men do not like themselves so any woman who is dark reminds them of their upbringing or themselves. First Taye Diggs now Wesley. And when Wesley got successful this was the rise of ds men being considered handsome and ideal. Now I've always liked ds men since I laid eyes on Big Daddy Kane. But you can't give love if you don't like yourself. If he's happy with Asian women that's great. But I don't understand why bw are always coming up as the reason why.

Black men can date who they want ,just why do they have to slander black women and make disgusting generalizations in the process? Then turn around and get mad because others generalize and make negative statements about them! All based off of ethnicity...and anyone who seems to have the same "types" when dating need to analyze themselves on why they keep choosing the same "types" that share those negative characteristics. By the way the treatment is different when it comes to black women. Black men seem to treat other types in a different way, almost like it's done self-consciously....like how a lot of black people treat "others" compared to each other.
