There's something about growing up with a celebrity parent that seems to ruin children more reliably than anyone else. It's really a severe price to fame. Many celebrities children don't just get into trouble, they die.

Lawrence has always been a topshelf kind of guy. He was a class act even as a kid in Cornbread Earl an Me. Sometimes there comes a person that is born to display so much class and good taste that you just assume people around that person are of the same type. Not always so. You would have thought that his daughter would have been ashamed for her famous father to even know she was involved in that lifestyle. His second wife was just straight up scandalous. He deserves better and one day he will have a classy mate. He is still tops in my book.

Love that movie and how amazing… (Amazing for lack of a better word right now). Him and Angela Bassett were. They both became their characters. Watching that movie you start to believe that is Ike and Tina you’re watching. Even young Tina at the church singing, did her thing lol. Needless to say, I feel bad for what he’s dealt with and probably continues to deal with in regards to Montana. I don’t know her personally and definitely not even close to being her Doctor. However, after reading and watching videos of her actions, I wondered if she was bipolar, either undiagnosed or without medication and additional treatment. Right! If I remember correctly cause it's been soo long ago. His mom went on the Geraldo Rivera show and was airing out the family business. He asked her not to appear on the show. Since then, he stopped talking to his mother.

Sounds like Montana has a lot of deep rooted issues, to be honest, she gives off the energy of someone who's experienced sexual trauma at a young age. Thank you for this post! I have been angry at this man for years because of the intimate knowledge of his situation with his Mom. But my source may have been speaking to his Mom at the time and did not truly know her condition. Now I can view the circumstances through clear eyes. So much insanity in this man's life! I wish him brighter days always.

Yeah you know they age a lot quicker sometimes due to years of being in direct sunlight constantly also has a lot to do with genetics.

Exactly! Dementia and delusion can make our elders believe and accuse loved ones of things they did not do. I say this as a caregiver for my 93 year old father. I have to constantly re-direct and reassure him that all is well. Im glad the truth is out.

@@JayMich29 truth!! I remember my grandma told everyone in my family that my mom abandoned her at the mall. When In fact she forgot just that quick my mom told her to wait at the entrance while she got the car.

@@hottea5890 My mom took that for years, perhaps it helped her before she was diagnosed with dementia, but after her diagnosis, it came on so fast, it was unbelievable. Her oncologist said there’s no cure for dementia only treatments and certain meds and that depends on the illness. She was getting a shot of something that I can’t remember but it did nothing. Oh that was heartbreaking to watch. RIP Momma

I am truly sorry to hear all of these painful heartbreaking things about what Lawrence has gone through and his family😢 He has my prayers🙏 It’s not easy being in the spotlight and having all of your problems exposed to the public. Although he’s a celebrity,yet he is human too! None of us knows everything about his life, nevertheless I’m glad the situation with his mother was cleared up and I hope everything works out for him, because to tell the truth, we all have family problems.. but they are not out in the public for everyone to see! Ok, so LF’s mother, Hattie Fishburne, was my 8th grade home room teacher. She went by Ms. Crawford, I guess so we wouldn’t know she was his mother. Anyway, she was always…. Eccentric and a little weird to say the least. Last I saw her, she was riding the bus and working as a teacher in Los Angeles. When we all found out she was his mom, we were shocked. Lol

I can understand her wanting to work, I can't understand LF not taking care of his mother. I'm not rich and I would never allow my mom to take the bus... I'm making it so my mom can get around even ifc she can't drive. I'm having Uber, Lyft, taxi cab on speed dial.... it's not funny but sad

@@Tee-kc3pn We don’t know the intricacies of their relationship to pass any judgment, maybe he dropped the ball on purpose because of xyz. Does he need healing of that specific wound? Yes. Also, if they have that type of relationship that of which, his mother isn’t interpersonal, she should’ve made arrangements beforehand and heed her doctors prognosis’. He knows who his mother is.

A father’s worse nightmare. You never know how your kids are going to turn out, all you can do is provide is a safe loving home and try to teach your kids to have pride in their accomplishments and the want to be the best person they can possibly be. The rest is up to them.

His very first movie which I seen in the Movies on 42nd street years ago with my mother and my 3 siblings was Cornbread Earl and Me along with the movie Youngblood it's a black movie which starred Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs two great black Actors in their own right.

I can’t staaaand his daughter for what she did to that man’s career!!! He’s my favorite actor! He was and is black EXCELLENCE!

Laurence daughter Montana is a very pretty woman, but its a shame she went down the wrong path when she did not have too. His wife Gina should have told him it was over instead of sneaking around with another guy, and getting caught on camera. What they both did was disrespectful and embarrassing for Laurence Fishburne . SMH

Life lends us all surprises! It's hard being a "star" in a world of untruths. Mr Fishburn is a very talented actor and should be respected and enjoyed as that, minus the leaking of personal business. I can't imagine the stress and humiliation of family affairs being exploited. I apologize Mr. Fishburn for the apathetic attitudes of this world.

Thanks for telling us the truth about his mom. I’m an only child of a mom that’s the same way, in assisted living. It’s a tough role at times. Makes me respect Lawrence that much more. Great video!

Tbf, giving money is easy for someone like Larry. His mother was 80 years old and needed more help than just money. Seems like he dropped the ball there for some reason. The mother, who clearly suffers from dementia-like issues was not the problem here. He's an only child, he knows there's no one else to help her. If he was sending money for her rent and she's complaining about him not sending her money... I can't, for the life of me, understand why he didn't go deeper to find out what the hell was going on with his very old mother! Like, how long does it take to evict someone? And he let it go that far??? That's WILD! Btw, I'm in a very similar (much worse) situation with a parent. It's difficult, yes, but you do what you gotta do... if you can.

Laurence was AWESOME in the one man stage play of the late great Honorable Justice Thurgood Marshall. What others including his daughter choose to do is their choice and not a reflection of him. Our kids, family, close friends do embarrassing things that is on them. Yes we love our people but people do what they want!!! I love and respect him and he's A GREAT ACTOR!!!!

Montana had both parents in her life, money, and still did the most. What did it get you sis? I’m like, you’re grown and you want to model your life after Kim? Kim also used to do business deals, sell her luxury items for money as well. She didn’t just have a s** tape.
