SO MANY SPARKLES! Hunting for Gorgeous Druzy, Agate, Chalcedony, and Fossils in Florida!
In this one, we head out with Derek the Rock Master for our last venture in Florida! We set out with hopes of finding good calcite coral, which to be fair we did find, but ended up spending the day finding incredible rocks! Fossiliferous chert loaded with agatized shells, limestone filled with fantastic fossils, completely calcified fossils in matrix, but the true stars of the day were the incredible pockets of brilliantly flashy druzy quartz surrounded by agate banding! I definitely was not expecting to find such incredible crystal specimens, and Derek found one in particular that is among the coolest agate specimens I've ever seen from Florida! It was a fantastic day for sure, and one amazing way to wrap up our time in Florida! After our hunt, we head back to the shop to cut and prep some of our specimens. OMG! There is no picking favorites from this batch! They were all just super gorgeous! That druzy layer of super sparkle over fossilized, agatized, shells! I mean, how can you choose one!?! So gorgeous! This was such an amazing video! The finds were phenomenal, and it had Derek the rock master in it! That just made it perfect! Wait no, perfect would have been if Alexis and Derek were in it, but this is darn close! Lol! The chert is pretty fantastic when you have the beautiful fossilized shells in it! But when you have it agatized over the chert, or complete mineral replacement, that's amazing! And then that same mineral replaced layer turned to a layer of beautiful quartz crystal druzy in all the vugs within the rocks, it becomes extraordinary! And the one you found with all the beautiful fortification banding is certainly a standout of the days finds! But they are all super amazing! Man nature gets a huge standing ovation for this batch of gorgeous! Thanks Theo for sharing your treasures you found, and your time with Derek, so we could all enjoy his knowledge on the natural process of the geology of his home state. Thanks Derek, and Theo❣️
What's with the use of the words freaking and flipping? Well.... just a nice way of saying the other word that starts with an F. It's so over used. 😒
