Sharkblox, for your info, regarding the drama. : SizzlesJellyQueen was a quite known pet sim yt with around 40-60 k subs i think. She basically tweeted out, I'm never buying a plushy again, basically the whole tweet was a middle finger to big games.

The reasoning on why many people are burning their plushies is because pet sim 99 devs gave the rarest and expensive pets to some hackers. That’s all I know from twitter 😬

The pets used to be purchasable for $50 and titanics $250. I think what happened here is Preston is reaching for that cash and brought all exclusive pets back because they had a certain stock. But he brought them back in different variants it looks like for cheaper so more people will consistantly purchase them for his new game. Even though pets are transferrable through PSX and PS99 so this is ultimitely scummy as can be but sadly nothing new. If anyone thought his greed was new... I am sorry for you.

If they wanted, they could've just continued the exploitation without getting detected. That would've rewarded more in the long run. In the end of the day, this whole debacle sounds stupid when the dev can decide who he gives the item. It's their decision on their game. "Boohoo, an exploiter got rewarded for exploiting and telling it to the developers", to which I say: do the same. Find an exploit and provide it to the developer. You're not held off from doing the same. The situation oozes jealousy trying to be coated as unfair when you're on the same playing field. No one's stopping you from doing what they do to achieve the same reward.

Personally, I think this is just a big (pun not intended) misunderstanding. Take Rocket League for example, that game used to have something like this, where they would award an extremely rare cosmetic to people who found and reported game-breaking glitches and exploits. Sure, those weren’t tradable, so they didn’t ruin the economy, but still.

This is kind of like a giant riot on the Roblox platform. Hate to see Roblox is becoming what it is today. I hope this situation will be back to normal soon. 😞

Yeah, I worked for a big wholesale store. All that perfectly good stuff gets thrown out, and it hurts to see that. We had to throw out perfectly good toilet paper because the plastic was open. Imo, ps99 community is like hive mind. Let one person say something dumb, and then the entire community will go wild over it. These guys that found an exploit could've made MUCH MORE damage to the game economy by abusing it. As a ps99 player Im thankful to them for reporting the issue and not creating like a million huges. But im not trying to defend the developers. If they decided to give a reward to those guys they HAD to remove all of these huges that they created. But as a result we have all of this happening right now in the community just cuz devs didnt deleted huges. Oh and talking about plushies: why would you burn it in the first place? You already bought it, you gave big games your money, they dont care what you will do with your plush. Its dumb, its useless. Morale? Dont play ps99 lol (or at least give it a try idk).
