    @@aa7146 as rude and toxic as that sounds, you do have a point. When I climbed to top 50 in series 5, i had 7-8 games playing at the beginning of the climb, and only dropped to 3-4 games when i hit higher ranks.

    He isn't bad, but I would not call him solid. Luck is a big factor in randbats, if they had their luck reversed wolfey would probably have taken the games.

    I think it was because they used the term GX last gen to refer to the cards with the z-crystal attacks. I think they wanted to make it easier to differentiate between GX and VMax

    NGL, I thought the three battles at once/same move slot thing wouldn't work, but this is genius. Could legit be a format (two pros and two battles at once, or 3 v 1 with different ELO). Amazing how Showdown can do more with Game Freak's tools. Great content as always.

    The randbats really show how much of skill in these battles is building and knowing your team, and what your win conditions are, ahead of time. With that factor removed, it’s like Chess960, where it takes one of the biggest aspects of game skill and turns it on its head.
