Yeah mumbo who made the hcbbs thingy paired the bases basically ferfect like you said with grian and zedaph another fine example is cleo and keralis. Keralis builds beautifull towns but they are dead, Noone lives in there and what does Cleo do? She builds inhabitants in the city of keralis. This base swap thing is sure gonna come out great

Honestly thank you HCBBS for showing me zedaph. I don’t regret it. His humour is just so amusing and he actually explains his videos in a way even I can understand and that’s a big task.

I love how he always voices is dissatisfaction with the back of Grian's base. It's a thing that Grian jokes about as well so its like a little inside joke. Very funny and quality video!!

This swap is amazing Zed can definitely give life to Grian's mansion and Grian can give detail to Zed's underground to be more organized except for the fact that he's gonna leave a chest monster behind.

This episode is so incredibly satisfying. I didn't need surprises, I didn't need shocks or startling revelations, I needed Zedaph rebranding Grian's mansion and conducting science experiments all over it. And that is exactly what I got. Thanks Zed! Also I think this is where your real commercial offering for the Hermits begins - adding contraptions to their bases! The ones they never knew they needed!

it's definitely possible to make two way diagonal flymachine. But not sure if it is possible to make up and over diagonal two directional flymachine. Propably possible, just never done cos it's useless

The best part of the HCBBS is that I am more interested than ever to watch new Hermits and I'm realizing that I have been missing out on the fact that Zed is on another level

The Fact that Zedaph and Grian both did cool things to the bases is awesome. The hermits all have such cool, different ideas and this swap is going to be so cool.

Temporal Scout 41 report: this new base is quite large and easy to get lost in, but that makes it very easy to hide. Subject Zedaph has built a small elevator system in the mansion. It hearkens back to a historical small elevator called a dumbwaiter, where food would be delivered from a kitchen area on one floor to a dining room on another floor in just such a dwelling. The affluent owners had employees that cooked and served the food, and the "dumbwaiter" was just that...a dumb waiter, as opposed to a human one. As the arrival of the Hermits a year ago is technically about 300 years before our first recorded use of the dumbwaiter, I believe that the ruins of this mansion will be unearthed during our industrial age, and the dumbwaiter will be used due to this discovery. I must still covertly observe the former base for developments in the aquatic evolution, but the distance between the two is a problem. I must obtain a pair of these flying wings...

Zedaph, I don't know if Grian mentioned this to you off camera, but in the lower entryway to the mansion there's maps of the area. Grian has been occasionally making maps of the jungle, locking them, and putting them up on the wall as a record. I'd really like it if you continue this, I've actually been excited to look at those maps in the end-of-season map since he started it

Nothing fills me with more confidence than a scientist saying "dont worry, I googled it!"

I really like this base swap thing. It gets the smaller hermits (like Zedaph, no offence) advertised by the bigger hermits (like Grian). E.g. this video has 95k views now, while Zedaph's last video (1 week ago) now has 79k views (still an amazing amount). Hopefully Zedaph will still get these views after the base swap ends, from the Grian viewers that stay :)

Well, I know Iskall (and I think Mumbo) included their Industrial Districts, Iskall included his gold farm, Tango's base is chock-full of farms (although they are inarguably in his base rather than subsidiary plots), etc. etc., but it is up for debate whether or not it's necessary. Hermits will likely err on the side of fun (which in this case means maximise the size of the trade).

There are too many quotable lines in this episode. Such a fan of what's happening right now.

I think switching bases were the key to connecting the communities, i love it!!!

I gotta admit. This base swap thing is a hella Good way of sharing viewers between the hermits and introducing each other. You get invested in those bases and wanna know what happens

I love how Zedaph went from "A nice 3 by 3 elevator with loads of room" to essentially a dumbwaiter system Hahaha

This base swap was a really good idea by Mumbo (If it is not his thing It would be the biggest plot twist in the whole world lmao). I never watched a Zedaph's vid! It's really complicated to watch a new hermit because you kinda get caught in the middle of everything, and get lost. But swapping bases I can know them without getting lost on his ongoing projects. Your vid was really entertaining, I'm subscribed now. :D Btw, I think if you use honey blocks instead of slime maybe it might look a little better? But I absolutely loved the barrels. I'm bad with puns... barrely as bad as you tho. hahahaha

I'd never watched one of your videos, but I wanted to see what you'd do with Grian's base. You made me laugh so much! I love how you have this crazed mad science professor vibe in everything you do! Definitely need to look through your channel now. Also love the elevator!

Congratulations Zedaph! You had a ton of pressure on you to deliver on this base swap episode and you hit it out of the park. Your solution to Grian’s up/down problem was done elegantly and very zedaphy. This is one of my favourite episodes ever. I really do agree that the lines on the barrells look like chains. Also, that pun of yours at the end I’ll rate it 9.9/10. Almost a perfect score but barrelly didn’t make it. ;)

I like how both Zedaph and Grian immediately look to better the bases in their own respective specialities. Grian makes his new base more aesthetically pleasing while Zedaph makes his new base more practical with a new contraption.

The mansion has lots of potential but is in need of some modernisation. Zedaph is the perfect person to take on this project. I love the lift, but it also needs a paternoster (I'll wait while you go and google what that is if you didn't know already .....). Also, there's lots of room for friends to stay. Presumably Willy the Worm can have his own suite and maybe Worm Man could also visit?

I have never ecountered a paternoster in the real world before and they sound terrifying. (Atleast at first encounter)

@@jasonreed7522 Yeah, I don't think they're very "Health and Safety". Mind you, I once got stuck in the very ordinary lift in Blackpool Tower, so I probably shouldn't be trusted with lift technology.

An eccentric inventor, inheriting a mansion sounds like something from a movie lol.

5:34-5:42 I only watched this video because I watch Grian's videos, but honestly. This guy, especially at 2x speed, comedy gold. Also love the camera angles and edits and tunes. Lots of fun to watch and listen to.

Ok so, imma b honest I came from Grians video just to see Zedaphs reaction, but now that Im here I might as well watch the whole thing, and oh hey this video was pretty cool might as well subscribe while I'm at it.

This is easily a top Zedaph episode right here. It had SCIENCE, elevators, quirkiness, while still keeping it incredibly simple. Congratulations, Zedaph! Hope to see more of you building in your new Mansion!

This episode really lifted my spirits!

I feel an odd sense of nostalgia by watching you for the first time. You have the same feeling as the minecraft youtubers of old.. stampy, sky, sparklz.. also, maybe i'm just boring but I would've suggested water pillars, but it might just be because I'm inpatient lol

This is the best swap pair to come out of HCBBS. Their strengths are so ultra compatible.

The lack of floo powder for travelling is severely disappointing. There's a giant fireplace!!!

The next contraption for the mansion should be a moving diorama for the middle bit of the elevator.

First vid ive watched of Zeds channel, think i might have to back date and binge watch it all! really love his personality and style so far. Good job on whoever (mumbo) for doing the HCBBS.

I really respect both grian and zedaph for not being salty about switching bases and I think its great that zedaph fans are trying grians channel and that grains fans are watching zedaph and it shows the friendship between the hermits and I like that!
