Fun fact: liquid nitrogen is actually perfectly safe to touch if it is only very briefly. The reason being that the boiling nitrogen creates a protective vapor layer for a moment due to the Leidenfrost effect. I touched some recently in a university physics class, and a dip just kinda felt like "dry" water (like touching water without getting wet).

Fun Fact: Liquid Helium is actually the coldest liquid, as liquid helium is -452.20°F, and liquid nitrogen is only -320°F.

This reminds me of a liquid from the thermal expansion mod called Gelid Cryotheum that places down snow, makes snowmen, and damages the player if they touch it. Also in the same mod, there exists a blazing pyrotheum, which is basically lava but much hotter.

It's actually very transparent and it's so cold that it instantly boils upon making contact with pretty much anything due to the fact that it can boil at freezing temperatures. This basically means that the way it looks here isn't really realistic...but that's not too important! You should look it up! It's very satisfying to look at.

I do think that Minecraft could use a 3rd interesting liquid. Besides lava that burns everything it touches, and water that extinguishes fire and can drown you/swim in, I see oil is the 3rd most liquid abundant after water. But what could oil do? Maybe substitute being a lava bucket? Maybe makes blocks that aren’t flammable, flammable? Also drowns you? Hmm

Something I have barely seen done in Minecraft is obtaining air blocks in your inventory. The game can’t give it to you via commands, but could you use some inventory edited to actually get an air block in your inventory?
