The song is the same as the one you learnt! It’s 600 to 800 year old Korean Folk song with 100 versions depending on region, this is her modernize version which is like a National Anthem symbolizing freeing of North Korea and it joining the South again! Hence the joining hands and going on a journey together!

"Arirang Alone" is a Korean folk song that's been circulated among the Korean people for hundreds of years. In time, "Arirang" has become the symbol of Korean's spirit wishing for peach and unification. Sohyang's modernized rendition has been performed at international events representing South Korea and used for the Olympic skate free program so It probably wouldn't fit the general vibe of your playlist. Glad you enjoyed it, and also gave you the chance to reminisce your time of learning Korean. BTW, agree that we should learn more about the importance to get the rest we need for an even longer journey ahead. Wish I appreciate this when I was younger.

Small corrections -- Arirang Alone is a song released in 1990. It's not a famous folk song. Arirang does not mean or represent "peace and unification".

Arirang can be state,hill,river..It's a symbol of the Korean spirit that include sorrow,longing and pain passed down for 600years

I think it is the same song you knew in korea. I have heard arirang sung by others in a more simple form & although sohyangs version is based on that very same song,her arrangement has turned it in to this more anthemic version
