I like Religious/Offensive/trade as Oman ( in any order depending of mana availability ), that way you get the policy for goods modifier and the policy for missionary strength against heretic + 3 !, which is so useful as ibadi.

This actually seeems like such a cool campaign, I remember ages ago I tried doing a tall campaign as Hormuz in Arabia fsr but it was so painful, having it kinda encouraged is so cool. There's so many good campaigns in this DLC I wish i had the time to play em.

Finally, Oman was literally the only nation that interested me from the DLC, ty for video and insta suscribed for loving oman

If someone is wondering if you can "cheese" these center of trade upgrades. Yes, I tested it. By grabbing a third center and upgrading it to lvl 3 first, you can have 3 world ports in one trade note. But it's not really worth it and you pause your mission tree for a long time. What is worth is starting the upgrade of your monument, give it to your Hormuz opm vassal, get their free upgrade mission, inherit them, get your upgrade mission and receive a lvl 3 monument for 1000 gold. Making your forts cheaper over all.

i haven't tried yet but supposedly all of the nations now have some additional basic missions with claims on neighbours and etc, so even Pate might be more enjoyable now lol but it's all about Oman now for Third way for sure!!

Lord, this tempts me to try another run for Third way, as I stalled with Pate after going Somalian Horde with them and seeing the size of the Ottomans, who were also my only viable ally. And now it's new DLC and patch so yeahhh

I attempted Third Way as Oman, culture shifted to Baluchi to form Mughals, and started dominating India. I got bored really quickly for some reason 😭

I haven't checked it yet but supposedly all non-updated nations have more basic missions now with claims on neighbours and etc, so even Pate might be a bit more enjoyable lol But you gotta go with Oman for sure, really fun mission tree and the Zanzibar name change is cool

Yeah the 2nd part is coming soon, but I'm not doing Third Way this time, the setup i have here is good for the mission tree and strong economy but the expansion is ridiculously slow compared to what you could achieve with diplo+admin, religious, etc. ideas. I'll be showing of a lot more of the mission tree though!

If you make the second run i am guessing you'll keep the oman as per their national ideas. It would be fun you claimed arabia at the end though

That Independent Syria is so clutch. The Ottomans can be really slowed down by not conquering their allies (usually AQ or Dulkadir) but if they do the same with Syria it basically locks them out of their wider mission tree for conquering the rest of the Mamluks and Arabia. P.S. Would love to see a Trebizond run. I just finished the achievement myself. A difficult start for sure, but so satisfying when you finally win wars against Ottomans, Mamluks, Persia etc.

certainly a good idea, i'll probably take at least one of those for 3rd/4th group and the mission tree leads that way too

Oman and Hormuz are SUPER fun. The general area is pretty easy to expand. I think Hormuz is a little more fun, even though Oman was more significant in history, because Hormu ideas are nicer than Oman but both are fun. I think Hormuz is a little weird because it gets claims on all of Arabia and Persia and more even though they're kinda supposed to be tall. I don't remember if Oman gets those claims but maybe I'll see in your video ;)

Oh and in my experience, Hormuz ai frequently allies Mamluks, same with Haasa

Just a thought, mightve been worth a few loans to upgrade Masqat and then click the upgrade center mission. Would've had an early lvl 3
